The NESCAC has released its Players of the Week for the week ending September 27. The conference recognizes student-athletes for each sport based on their contributions to their team each week, based on information provided by the athletic communications offices on each campus. During the fall season, football, field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer, and volleyball will be announced on Mondays, while cross country runners of the week and golfers of the week will be announced on Tuesdays when selected.

NESCAC Field Hockey Player of the Week | Weekly Release
Addie Chandler – Middlebury – So. – M – Denver, Colo.
Chandler extended her scoring streak to four consecutive games as Middlebury took down a pair of ranked opponents for the second weekend in a row. The sophomore scored the game-winning tally with 1:18 remaining in the third quarter to lead the Middlebury to a 2-1 victory over No. 9 Bowdoin. Against top-ranked and previously unbeaten Christopher Newport, Chandler matched the team high with four shots on target and converted a penalty stroke goal late in overtime to seal a 1-0 victory. The sophomore leads the squad with 13 points and is tied for first among the NESCAC goal scorers with five.

NESCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week | Weekly Release
Marek Hill – Amherst – Jr. – QB – Oak Park, Ill.
Hill completed 25 of 34 pass attempts (73.%) for 306 yards and four touchdowns, with no interceptions, in a 38-21 win at Hamilton. Hill found four different receivers for scores, two in each half, and led the Mammoths on three scoring drives of 12 plays or more. He also ran for 26 yards on four carries as the Mammoths piled up 462 yards of total offense in the victory. With the score tied at 14-14 entering the third quarter, Hill threw a 49-yard touchdown to Cam Fowler and followed up with a 20-yard strike to Jack Berger to give the Mammoths a lead they would not relinquish.

NESCAC Football Defensive Player of the Week
Carson Eutsay – Middlebury – So. – LB – Boston, Mass.
With the Polar Bears driving midway through the third quarter, Eutsay caught an errant pass and ran it back 70 yards for a touchdown, giving the Panthers a 10-0 advantage. The linebacker collected his second interception of the day in the red zone to seal the win. Eutsay’s 70-yard touchdown return is believed to be the longest in Middlebury history since an 85-yard housecall by Sam Guarnaccia in a 19-0 victory over the University of Vermont in 1930

NESCAC Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Yogi Culver – Wesleyan – So. – LB – Stuyvesant Falls, N.Y.
Culver recovered a fumble on a muffed punt from Tufts on the opening drive of the game, setting the Cardinals up with a 1st and 10 deep in the Jumbos territory, which led to Wesleyan’s first touchdown in the win over the Jumbos. Culver added three tackles, all on kickoff or punt returns, to complete his day. 

NESCAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week | Weekly Release
Will Stillman – Bates – So. – M – Windsor, Conn.
Stillman scored his first collegiate goal at the perfect time, finding the back of the net in the 84th minute to propel Bates to a 1-0 win over Wesleyan on Saturday. It's the Bobcats' first NESCAC victory of the season and their first over the Cardinals since 2019.

NESCAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week | Weekly Release
Lila Sullivan – Hamilton – So. – F – Charlestown, Mass.
Sullivan scored both goals for the Continentals in their 2-0 win at Connecticut College – Hamilton's lone match of the week. Sullivan, who found the back of the net in the seventh and 42nd minutes, is second in the NESCAC with eight goals and 17 points.

NESCAC Volleyball Player of the Week | Weekly Release
Rae Wartelle – Conn. College – Sr. – MB – Tacoma, Wash.
Wartelle registered season highs in both kills and blocks last week while leading the Camels to wins over Eastern Connecticut State and Trinity. The senior recorded 13 kills and a season-high seven total blocks in a five-set win over the Warriors. In a 3-1 win over the Bantams, she contributed a season- and match-high 16 kills while hitting .500.
