NESCAC Field Hockey Player of the Week
Addie Chandler – Middlebury – So. – M – Denver, Colo.
Chandler extended her scoring streak to four consecutive games as Middlebury took down a pair of ranked opponents for the second weekend in a row. The sophomore scored the game-winning tally with 1:18 remaining in the third quarter to lead the Middlebury to a 2-1 victory over No. 9 Bowdoin. Against top-ranked and previously unbeaten Christopher Newport, Chandler matched the team high with four shots on target and converted a penalty stroke goal late in overtime to seal a 1-0 victory. The sophomore leads the squad with 13 points and is tied for first among the NESCAC goal scorers with five.
 
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Senior Genevieve Caruso (Greenwich, Conn.) scored four of the Mammoths' seven goals in a 2-0 week, including a thrilling 3-2 win at No. 4 Williams, snapping a four-game losing streak to the Ephs dating back to 2022. Caruso netted a hat trick in a 4-0 win at MIT earlier in the week and scored the third, and what proved to be decisive, goal in the one-goal win at Williams. Caruso has a career-high seven goals this season. 
 
Bates – Caroline Nowak (Pelham, N.Y.) got Bates on the board in the 49th minute Saturday in rainy conditions at No. 12 Wesleyan. The junior delivered the insert on a penalty corner and senior captain Haley Dwight fired a shot toward the cage. Nowak deflected it home for her first tally of the season and the eighth of her career. Nowak's goal briefly cut the Cardinal lead to 2-1.
 
Colby – Senior Bridget Everett (Barnstable, Mass.) scored a late equalizer in the 60th minute to force overtime against Trinity. Down 2–1 in the closing seconds of regulation, Everett capitalized on an opportunity inside the circle to tally her team-leading fifth goal of the season at 59:15, tying the game and capping off a resilient fourth-quarter push by the Mules. 
 
Conn. College – Sadie Gearan (Lynnfield, Mass.) scored a goal last week as the Camels lost to No. 10 Hamilton in a shootout. The senior’s third goal of the season put Conn. College up 2-1 with 2:49 to go in regulation. Later, Gearan converted her shootout attempt as the hosts fell 3-2.
 
Hamilton – Morgan Clarke (Kent, Conn.) scored the tying goal with 1:21 left in the fourth quarter and had one of the Continentals' successful shoot out attempts as they pulled out a 3-2 win at Conn. College. The goal was the second of the junior defender's Hamilton career. Clarke also led the defense to a 2-0 shutout at St. Lawrence.
 
Trinity – Junior Riley Harrington (Longmeadow, Mass.) was the catalyst in the 3-2 overtime win over Colby on Saturday, potting both her goals a minute apart in the final four minutes of regulation to give Trinity a 2-1 lead. The win marked the Bantams’ first NESCAC win of the season and closed the week 2-0. Riley also scored once in a 2-0 non-conference win over WPI on Wednesday.
 
Tufts – Eleanor Helm (Loudonville, N.Y.) scored both goals for Tufts in Wednesday's 2-1 victory at Wesleyan, including the game-winner with 1:11 remaining in the second overtime. After Helm scored eight minutes into the game for a 1-0 Jumbo lead, Wesleyan tied the score with under five minutes remaining in regulation. With penalty strokes looming, Helm's blast from the top left curve of the circle won it for the Jumbos. She also added an assist to Tufts' 4-1 win at Rochester on Saturday for a five-point week. Helm has reached the 20-point mark (9g, 2a) seven games into the season, leading Tufts to a 7-0 record for the first time since 2022.
 
Wesleyan – Natalie Shaw (Glen Ridge, N.J.) made history on Saturday, scoring twice in a 3-1 win over Bates for her first career multi-goal game and the first multi-goal game by a Wesleyan defender in at least 20 seasons. Shaw scored both goals on straight shots from penalty corners, the second of which restored a two-goal lead after Bates had cut the deficit to 2-1 in the fourth quarter. Shaw played the full 60 minutes on Saturday and led the Wesleyan defense in holding Bates to one goal in the win. She also played every second of a double overtime loss to Tufts on Wednesday. She made multiple interceptions and tackles throughout regulation and deep into the second overtime period. 
 
Williams – Senior forward and midfielder Claire Colvin (Winchester, Mass.) tallied one goal and one assist against visiting No. 15 Amherst Saturday at Williamson Field.
