Recently, Wesleyan University collaborated with community partners to host Bilqis Abdul Qaadir for a full day of programming that included a basketball clinic and a screening of Bilqis' documentary "Life Without Basketball". The documentary narrates her journey to fight against the FIBA hijab ban for nearly a decade. A vision board workshop and a Halal lunch and dinner were also part of the expericence. The event was open to all Wesleyan students and all Middletown and neighboring community members. Members of the Wesleyan women's basketball team helped throughout the program, teaching the girls the fundamentals of the game.
