Conference Best Six Teams Selected for NCAA Women's Tennis Championship

A total of six teams from the NESCAC earned a berth in the 2026 NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Tournament, matching the most in conference history. Amherst, Bowdoin, Middlebury, Tufts, Wesleyan, and Williams were selected to the field. Wesleyan won the NESCAC title to earn an automatic berth to the tournament while the five other schools took at-large spots.
 
Middlebury (13-6) earned a first-round bye and will host first, second, and third round action. The Panthers play the winner of Tufts (12-6)/Hartwick (14-4 – Empire 8 Champ) on Saturday, May 9. Babson also received a bye in the first round and meets the Stevens/Rhode Island College winner in the second round. Saturday’s winners will square off for the regional title on Sunday.
 
Bowdoin (13-7) and Williams (11-8) will travel to MIT for regional action. The Ephs face SUNY New Paltz (8-10) in the first round on Friday, May 8. Bowdoin received a first-round bye and plays the winner of the Williams/New Paltz match.
 
Amherst (11-7) will host Manhattanville College (10-2) in a first-round match on Friday. The winner moves on to face the Swarthmore/Simmons winners in the second round.
 
Wesleyan (18-2) received a first-round bye and squares off against the winner of Moravian (17-3)/Hunter (12-0) in the second round at John Wood Memorial Courts.
