MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Top-seeded Wesleyan and No. 2 Bowdoin will square off for the 2026 NESCAC Women's Tennis Championship on Sunday, May 3 at 11 a.m. at Middlebury College.
The Bowdoin squad reaches the championship match for the first time in program history, while Wesleyan will play for the title for the seventh year in a row. The Cardinals won four straight NESCAC Championships between 2019 and 2024 and were the Runners-Up last season.
Wesleyan earned a 5-2 win at Bowdoin on April 12. The championship match marks the seventh meeting between the teams in the NESCAC Tournament. Wesleyan won the last match, 4-2, in the 2025 semifinals.

No. 1 Wesleyan def. No. 4 Amherst, 4-3
In a marathon match that lasted just over four hours, Mariia Kornilova delivered the clinching point for Wesleyan (17-2) with a 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-3 victory on the No. 4 singles court.
No. 2 Bowdoin def. No. 3 Middlebury, 4-0
Bowdoin (13-6) took a 1-0 lead after doubles and earned three straight-set wins in singles to blank Middlebury and advance to the championship match. Bella Hartung won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 and Caroline Stuhlfaut earned a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 5. Zoe Sun closed out the win with a 6-2, 6-4 triumph at No. 4 singles.
