Why did you choose to be a Division III student-athlete?
I wanted the ability to pursue rigorous academics while also participating in extremely competitive athletics. In my search for schools, I prioritized finding a healthy balance between the two, where athletic commitments do not over shadow academic opportunities. I found that Division III, and especially the NESCAC, offered that balance.

What is the best thing about being part of the NESCAC?
The best thing about being a part of the NESCAC is the level of competition within the conference. I believe that it is one of the most competitive conferences in the country. On any given day, any school in the NESCAC can beat any other school in the conference, no matter their rank.

Is there anything special about your uniform number?
I grew up as a Patriots fan and learned how to compete as an athlete from Tom Brady. That led me to choose the #12 as my jersey number when I saw it available.

What’s your go-to warmup song?
Smells Like Teen Spirit– Nirvana

What is something you enjoy doing that you never get tired of?
I will never get tired of the family dinners that my recruiting class has every Saturday we have a home game during the season. Since our freshman year, it has become a tradition to have a class-wide dinner where all of our families are invited. It is something that I always look forward to and will miss next year.

What has been your favorite class?
While I have had the opportunity to take many amazing classes at Hamilton, I think my favorite class has been Behavioral Economics. I found this class particularly interesting because it forces you to rethink the way you understand economics. Instead of a mathematical analysis of firms, this class reframes economics as a study of human decision making. I thought it was extremely interesting and valuable to learn about.

What internships/research projects have you participated in?
In the summers after my sophomore and junior years, I had the opportunity to participate in extremely formative internships. These internships helped me form not only an idea of what I wanted to do after college, but they also taught me how to be a professional and succeed in the work environment.

What has been the most interesting part of your major?
The most interesting part of my major was completing my senior thesis this fall. I had the opportunity to choose an economic topic that interested me and apply the economic models and analytical methods that I had learned throughout the major to complete a research paper on the topic. The project culminated in a presentation to the full economics faculty, an experience that was very valuable and rewarding.

What is your favorite place on your campus?
My favorite place on the Hamilton campus is the Burke Library. It is the perfect place to get some work done while also being able to hangout with your friends in the group work areas.

What is something you enjoy doing when not in class or competing in your sport?
Outside of class and lacrosse, one of my biggest hobbies is snowboarding. Since I was little, I have wanted to be on the mountain whenever I have the opportunity. After college, I plan on completing many life-long goals on mountains across the world.
