NESCAC Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week
Andrew Toland – Bates – Jr. – G – Hingham, Mass.
At No. 6-ranked Wesleyan, Toland made 20 saves, including 10 in the third quarter as the Bobcats held No. 6 Wesleyan scoreless in the frame, and notched an impressive save percentage of .645 in the Bobcats’ 13-11 win over the Cardinals. The victory was Bates’ first win over a nationally ranked opponent since 2019.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Sophomore
Willie Doyle (Summitt, N.J.) scored three goals and added one assist in a 9-5 season-opening win over Hamilton Saturday. With the game tied 5-5, Doyle scored the first two goals of the fourth quarter to give the Mammoths a lead they would never relinquish.
Bowdoin - Junior
Chris Berry (Chevy Chase, Md.) scored a career-high seven goals as the Polar Bears earned a season-opening win against Middlebury.
Colby – Junior
Gavin Rothenberg (Westport, Conn.) tallied a pair of goals and added an assist in Colby's setback against No. 1 Tufts.
Conn. College –
Will Zaslow (Trumbull, Conn.) provided a hat trick and an assist in the season-opening win over Hartford last week. The junior attackman netted his first collegiate goal in the second quarter and later tacked on two goals and a helper in the fourth to close out a 12-5 victory in which the Camels never trailed.
Hamilton –
Jack Williams (Toronto, Ontario) made 20 saves in the sophomore's first start for the Continentals in a 9-5 setback at Amherst. The 20 stops were the most by any Hamilton goalie since April 2024. Williams turned away six shots in the third quarter as the Continentals rallied and tied the score, 5-5, by the end of the third.
Middlebury – Senior
Logan White (Parker, Colo.) was near the top of the Panther attack with two goals and an assist in a 12-9 loss at No. 5 Bowdoin on Saturday.
Trinity – Senior
Jake Connors (Hopkinton, Mass.) led the Bantams to a comeback victory over Williams in their 2026 season opener, tallying a game-high five points with three goals and two assists with two groundballs and a caused turnover. Connors netted the Bantams’ opening goal of the season, followed by a game-tying tally in the third quarter. Connors delivered an assist to even the score at 10-10 in the fourth, and then capped the comeback win with a goal in the final minute to seal the 13-11 victory.
Tufts - Jack Regnery (Palm Gardens, Fla.) led all players with 12 points in two games in a pair of wins for the No. 1 Jumbos. The senior finished with six goals and six assists in wins over Colby and Union, adding four ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers. Saturday against Colby, Regnery had two goals and two helpers in the 17-8 win and followed that up with four goals and four assists in a 22-10 win over Union.
Wesleyan – Senior
Charlie Knapp (Novato, Calif.) produced a career-high six points for the Cardinals, finishing with two goals and four assists on Saturday against Bates.
Williams – Senior midfielder
Ryan Johnson (Somerset, N.J.) tied a career-high five goals at Trinity on Saturday.
