NESCAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week
Niamh Kastner - Trinity - Sr. - Williamsburg, Va.
Kastner had a record-breaking week in the pool for the Bantams, setting four pool records and winning six of the eight events she swam over two meets. On Tuesday, against Mount Holyoke and Vassar, the senior swam the butterfly leg (25.26) of the winning 200 medley relay, which set a Trinity pool record. Kastner swam the 200 butterfly, winning and breaking her own pool record with a time of 2:06.70. She also won the 100 butterfly and set another pool record-breaking time of 56.96, a record she has been chasing for three years. Finally, Kastner was a member of the winning 400 freestyle relay, swimming the anchor leg in a time of 53.68. On Thursday, against Wesleyan, Kastner competed in a few off events to score points where needed. She was the freestyle leg of the winning 400 medley relay (55.03), which broke the Trinity pool record, and placed third and fourth in the 200 and 100 freestyle races, securing some much-needed points in those events. To wrap up the meet, Kastner was a member of the Bantams’ mixed 400 freestyle relay that just out-touched Wesleyan.

NESCAC Honor Roll
BatesKatherine Reed (Wenham, Mass.) recorded her fastest times of the season against Tufts.  The rookie recorded times of 1:58.3 and 54.3 in the 200 and 100 freestyle events, respectively, both faster than her times at the Maine State Championship meet, showing off the impressive gains she has made this month. 

Bowdoin – Ursula von Goeler (Northampton, Mass.) continued her streak of victories on the diving boards. The sophomore won the 1-meter event with a score of 264.8 points and scored 281.5 points to win the 3-meter event. Von Goeler also anchored the 200 freestyle relay (33.6).

Hamilton – Senior Brooks Risher (Hilton Head, S.C.) had her best dual meet of the 2025-2026 season, placing first in both of her individual events, winning the 1000 freestyle in a time of 10:55.59 and the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:19.45, while also leading off a 400 freestyle relay. The Risher’s efforts were crucial to the dual meet victory.

Tufts – On senior day, senior Malia Leung (San Carlos, Calif.) won the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events with season-best and NCAA-qualifying scores of 290.63 (1M) and 266.54 (3M) points against Bates.

WesleyanMia Dezelic (Hudson, Ohio) continued her winning streak in the 200 backstroke with back-to-back victories against Trinity and in a tri-meet with the University of Bridgeport and Wheaton. The junior also led off a relay with a season-best 54.0 in the 100 freestyle.

WilliamsAshley Loh (Arcadia, Calif.) placed first on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. The junior posted an impressive score of 269.41 points on the 1-meter and followed it up with 259.10 points on the 3-meter, showcasing consistency and control across both boards.
