NESCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Weekly Release - Jan. 13, 2026

Every Tuesday throughout the swimming & diving season, the NESCAC Performers of the Week will be announced. 

NESCAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week
Sarah Palmer – Bates – Jr. – Brunswick, Maine
Palmer had another solid weekend of swimming, going undefeated against both Gettysburg and Middlebury in the breaststroke events. Against Gettysburg, junior won the 50 breaststroke (29.94) and the 100 breaststroke (1:04.75), and versus Middlebury, Palmer posted winning times of 1:05.67 in the 100 breaststroke and 2:24.31 in the 200 breaststroke, all non-suited. Further, she continued to evolve in the sprint freestyle, posting a 24.6 split in both meets.
 
NESCAC Honor Roll
Bowdoin – Ursula von Goeler (Northampton, Mass.) won both diving events against Connecticut College. The sophomore scored 252.70 points on the 1-meter and 273.20 points on the 3-meter, both were NCAA Regional qualifying scores.  

Colby – Avery Rappaport (Simsbury, Conn.) had a great start to 2026 by winning both boards against Middlebury. The senior’s season-best scores of 256.12 (1-meter) and  273.45 (3-meter) are both NCAA Regional qualifiers.

Williams - Lily Codd (New Canaan, Conn.) had a standout meet against Amherst, earning three individual first-place finishes and making a key relay contribution. The senior showed her range and endurance by winning the 1000 freestyle (10:28.80), the 200 butterfly (2:05.33), and the 500 freestyle (5:08.49), controlling each race with confidence. Codd also played an important role on the 400 freestyle relay, where she delivered a strong 54.50 split.
