The NESCAC has released its Players of the Week for the week of March 10. The conference recognizes student-athletes for each sport based on their contributions to their team each week. This week's release includes the Player of the Week selections for men's and women's ice hockey (final), baseball, and men's and women's lacrosse.
Men's Ice Hockey (FINAL)
Charlie Archer - Hamilton - G - Sr. - Belleville, Ontario
Archer posted a .968 save percentage in two NESCAC Championship games at Hamilton. The senior made 29 saves, including one on a redirect from close range early in the first overtime period of the Continentals' 3-2 double-overtime win over Middlebury in the semifinals. Archer was even better in the championship game against Tufts, turning away 32 shots in a 3-0 victory that gave Hamilton its first NESCAC title. Archer stopped a breakaway late in the first period and another midway through the second.
Women's Ice Hockey (FINAL)
Natalie Stott - Amherst - G - Jr. - Franklin, Mass.
Stott saved 36 of 37 shots she faced while playing all 120 minutes in goal for the Mammoths. The junior posted her 10th shutout of the season in a 1-0 victory over Middlebury in the NESCAC Championship game where she made eight saves in first period to keep game scoreless. Stott finished the weekend with a .973 save percentage and 0.50 goals against average to help Amherst win its sixth NESCAC title and first since 2023.

Player of the Week
Will Ashley – Middlebury – So. – San Francisco, Calif.
Ashley hit for the cycle and broke Middlebury's single-game record for most RBI on Saturday in a 25-8 win at Rutgers-Newark. The sophomore, who is believed to be the first Panther to hit for the cycle in team history, drove in 10 runs and tied single-game marks for hits (5) and at-bats (7). Ashley's three-run homer was the first of his career and he scored four times in the win. Over a 4-0 week for the Panthers, Ashley led the team with a .450 batting average, tallying seven runs on nine hits to go along with 12 RBI. The infielder was 4-for-5 in stolen bases and leads the NESCAC in hits (10) and runs batted in (13).
Pitcher of the Week
Emmet Christian – Tufts - Fy. – Chapel Hill, N.C.
Christian got the ball on the bump to start the season and begin his collegiate career on Wednesday versus Brandeis. The rookie struck out four batters and allowed a single hit through four innings of work. The first-year posted a spotless ERA with a 0.75 WHIP in his collegiate debut.
Men's Lacrosse | Weekly Release
Liam Horkan – Conn. College – Jr. – A – Malden, Mass.
Horkan entered the week without a point in 2025 and finished the week with 10 goals and one assist to lead the Camels to a 2-0 record. The Junior netted a career-high six goals and added an assist in a 13-9 road win over Colby. He scored the first goal of the game, then his second goal tied the contest at 5-5, and back-to-back unassisted tallies gave the Camels an 8-5 cushion. Earlier in the week, Horkan netted four goals as Conn. College picked up a 14-11 victory at Western Connecticut.
Women's Lacrosse | Weekly Release
Hope Shue – Middlebury – Sr. – Dover, Mass.
Shue became Middlebury's all-time leading goal scorer on Saturday with four goals in a win over Babson. She raised her career total to 233 goals to break a record that has stood since 1997. Shue scored six more goals in a victory over Bowdoin for a weekly total of 10 goals with two assists for 14 points in a 2-0 week for the Panthers. Shue also collected five draws with three ground balls. Shue's 233 career markers rank third among her classmates in Division III, and she leads the NESCAC with 6.00 points per game.
