Jumbos & Ephs Claim NCAA Women's Cross Country Regional Titles

NESCAC women’s cross country teams competed in three different NCAA Regional races across the Northeast on Saturday, November 15.
 
East Regional – Hopkinton, N.H. | Results
The Tufts Jumbos claimed first place with 51 points in the East Regional race at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H. All four NESCAC teams competing in the regional earn a top 10 finish, with Bowdoin (158 pts) and Bates (164 pts) placing fifth and sixth, respectively, and Colby (225 pts) finishing eighth.
 
Three NESCAC runners finished among the top 10 on the 6K course. MIT’s Kate Sanderson won the race with a time of 21:20.1, beating the field by six seconds.

Mideast Regional – Canton, N.Y. | Results
In the Mideast Regional race hosted by St. Lawrence in Canton, N.Y., NESCAC teams took the top four spots in the team standings, and Middlebury’s Audrey MacLean was the individual winner, leading seven NESCAC runners among the Top 10 finishers.
 
Williams totaled 39 points to capture the team trophy, with its scoring runners finishing 3-7-8-10-11. The Panthers were the runners-up with 96 points, led by MacLean’s performance. Conn. College posted 101 points for third place, and Amherst was fourth with 129 points. Wesleyan placed eighth with 202 points, and Trinity rounded out the NESCAC squads with a 10th-place finish and 340 points.

Niagara Regional – Rochester, NY | Results
Taylor Harris led the Hamilton Continentals to a fifth-place finish at the Niagara Regional race. Harris finished fifth overall with a time of 21:57.7.
 
NYU took home the top spot in the team standings with 52 points, while SUNY Geneseo’s Ann Brennan was the individual winner, covering the course in a time of 21:38.2.
