HADLEY, Mass. – Tufts University, the defending NESCAC Champion, has earned the top seed in the 2025 NESCAC Field Hockey Championship for the fourth time in program history and first time since 2016.
The tournament begins with quarterfinal action on Saturday, November 1 at the higher seeds. The four quarterfinal winners advance to the semifinal round on Saturday, November 7 at the highest remaining seed. The championship game is set for Sunday, November 8 at the site of the semifinal host.

Middlebury, Bates, and Wesleyan finished with identical conference records of 7-3. In head-to-head competition, Middlebury, Bates, and Wesleyan went 1-1. In comparing results against the top four teams (Tufts, Middlebury, Bates, and Wesleyan), Middlebury, Bates, and Wesleyan posted identical 1-2 records. In comparing results against the top eight teams, (Tufts, Middlebury, Bates, Wesleyan, Williams, Hamilton, Bowdoin, and Amherst), Middlebury, Bates, and Wesleyan posted identical 4-3 records. In comparing results against teams in rank order, Middlebury, Bates, and Wesleyan each lost to No. 1 Tufts and defeated No. 5 Williams. Middlebury defeated No. 6 Hamilton, while Bates and Wesleyan lost to No. 6 Hamilton as Middlebury earned the No. 2 seed. In head-to-head competition, Bates defeated Wesleyan to earn the No. 3 seed. Wesleyan earned the No. 4 seed.
Williams and Hamilton finished with identical conference records of 6-4. In head-to-head competition, Williams defeated Hamilton to earn the No. 5 seed.
