NESCAC Volleyball Player of the Week
Skye Higashihara - Bates - Fy. - S – Honolulu, Hawaii
Higashihara averaged 13.0 assists per set in a 2-0 NESCAC weekend for the Bobcats. On Friday, the rookie dished out 40 assists and recorded eight digs in a 3-0 win over Amherst, the first win for the Bobcats over the Mammoths since 2003. On Saturday, Higashihara tallied a season-high 51 assists, a season-high four service aces, and a season-high seven kills to go along with seven digs in a 3-1 win over Hamilton, moving Bates to 2-0 in NESCAC play for the first time since 2015. Higashihara ranks second in the NESCAC at 9.54 assists per set.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Senior 
Charlotte Rasmussen (Los Angeles, Calif.) registered 30 kills in 75 attempts in a 1-2 week for the Mammoths. In a 3-0 sweep of Clark, she had 12 kills in three sets and a hitting percentage of .786.
Bowdoin - Sophomore 
Skye LaMendola (Farmers Branch, Texas) tallied 10 kills and six digs in a Saturday evening win over Maine Maritime. LaMendola leads Bowdoin in kills (3.03 per set) and is among the team leaders in digs (2.24 per set) this season.
Colby - 
Brady Mosely (San Juan Capo, Calif) helped the Mules extend their win streak to eight straight matches, including a 3-0 victory over Wesleyan on Friday night. Mosely collected 15 kills against the Cardinals and added 16 digs.  In Saturday's come-from-behind win over Emerson, the sophomore tallied a career-high 29 digs en route to her sixth straight match with double-digit kills. Mosley ranks tied for third in the NESCAC with 112 kills.  
Connecticut College – 
Mila Chan (San Francisco, Calif.) hit .222 and averaged a team-high 3.1 kills per set last week as the Camels went 1-2 overall. The rookie hit .900 and posted a match-high nine kills in a 3-0 win over Saint Joseph to start the week. Chan added four kills and eight digs in her NESCAC debut at Middlebury and wrapped the weekend with a team-best nine kills and six digs at Williams.  
Hamilton - 
Elodie McGeiver (Brooklyn, N.Y.) posted 11 kills and 11 digs for the sophomore's fifth double-double this season in a four-set loss at Bates. McGeiver added seven kills and four digs in a setback at Tufts. McGeiver was credited with two blocks in both matches.
Middlebury - 
Gabbie O’Toole (Overland Park, Kan.) helped Middlebury secure a pair of NESCAC sweeps over the weekend, improving the team’s winning streak to four. The Panther recorded 38 assists, eight digs, and four service aces to help the squad hand Trinity its first loss of the season. O’Toole tallied a double-double against Connecticut College, registering 20 helpers and digging out 12 balls in the 3-0 win. The junior averaged 9.68 assists per set and 3.33 digs per set over the six sets. 
Trinity – Senior 
Eva Lekovic (San Marino, Calif.) helped the Bantams push the program's best start to 9-0 with a 3-1 win at Williams in their 2024 conference opener. Lekovic notched a team-high 17 kills with a match-high five blocks and three digs. Trinity suffered its first loss of the year at Middlebury, but Lekovic posted nine kills, four digs, and a block to lead the Bantams.
Tufts –
 Claire Castor (Carmel, Ind.) had a strong week for the Jumbos as the sophomore outside hitter helped Tufts post a 2-0 NESCAC weekend with wins over Hamilton and Amherst. On Friday in a 3-0 win over Hamilton, Castor tallied a career-high 20 kills on 35 attempts, hitting .486 while adding seven digs and two aces. Saturday in another three-set win over Amherst, Castor added nine kills and 10 digs, hitting .304 for the match. She finished the week with 29 kills (4.83 per set) and hit .413. 
 
Wesleyan - 
Lila Sayre's (Berkley, Calif.) career game led the Cardinals to a four-set road win over Bowdoin on Saturday, snapping a three-match losing streak for Wesleyan and marking the first time the Cardinals defeated the Polar Bears in Brunswick since 2007. Sayre had a career-high 15 kills on 31 attempts with just two errors, hitting .419 for the match with four digs and three total blocks. The senior’s previous career-high was 11 kills and the contest marked her second career match with 10+ kills.
Williams - Senior 
Sidra Wohlwend (Henderson, Nev.) posted double-digit dig performances in both NESCAC matches last weekend, including 19 digs against Trinity and 14 against Connecticut College. Wohlwend averaged 4.71 digs per set while chipping in three service aces and nine assists for the weekend. Her serve-receive passer rating averaged 2.30.
