NESCAC Volleyball Weekly Release - Oct. 5, 2026

Every Monday during the season, a NESCAC Player of the Week will be selected based on information submitted by the athletic communications offices at member institutions.
 
NESCAC Volleyball Player of the Week
Chidimma Obi – Williams – Jr. – MH/OPP – Richmond Heights, Ohio
Obi helped lead Williams to a perfect 2-0 NESCAC weekend, as the Ephs handed No. 2 Colby its first loss of the season with a 3-0 sweep on Friday before defeating Bowdoin, 3-1, on Saturday. Obi played a key role in both victories, leading the Ephs in kills against Colby with eight while adding three digs and four blocks. She followed with a career-best performance against Bowdoin, recording 15 kills, eight digs, and four blocks while leading the team in both kills and blocks. Over the two-match weekend, Obi totaled 23 kills, 11 digs, and eight blocks.
 
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Raegan Lentz (Bethesda, Md.) led the Mammoths to a 2-1 week, 1-1 in conference play, with 26 kills and 11 block assists over the three matches. In a 3-1 win over Connecticut College, the rookie had 11 kills, hit .143 for the match, and had six block assists with a dig.
 
Bates – Malina Young (Redondo Beach, Calif.) recorded a pair of double-doubles last week, notching a season-high 15 kills and 10 digs at Middlebury and 10 kills and a career-high 16 digs in a 3-1 win at Hamilton. Earlier in the week, the junior totaled eight kills and a match-high 13 digs in a 3-0 win over Saint Joseph's (ME). The Bobcats are 10-2, their best start to a season through 12 matches since 2000.
 
Bowdoin – Outside hitter Tamara Gisiger (New York, N.Y.) finished second on the team in kills with 19 while adding four blocks over two matches last weekend. The junior recorded a career-high 12 kills with a hitting percentage of .375 to lead the team. 
 
Colby – Outside hitter Brady Moseley (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) led Colby at both ends of the floor with 20 kills and 34 digs in three matches last week. Moseley opened the slate by leading the Mules in a 3–0 sweep against the University of Southern Maine, recording a team-high six kills and 10 digs while hitting .500. The senior collected a team-leading 13 digs while adding five kills and three blocks against Williams and tallied nine kills and 11 digs against MIT.
 
Conn. College – Vibha Sheth (Austin, Texas) recorded 17 kills and eight blocks over seven sets last week for the Camels. The sophomore tallied a team-high 11 kills and four blocks against Amherst and followed up with six kills and four blocks against No. 11 Wesleyan.
 
Hamilton – Ayzlinn Trefren (Simi Valley, Calif.) averaged 3.57 kills, 2.86 digs, and 0.71 service aces per set in two NESCAC setbacks. Trefren posted 12 kills, nine digs, and 13 points against Tufts. The junior registered 13 kills, 11 digs, and four aces against Bates. The double-double was the fourth this season and the 14th of Trefren's career.
 
Middlebury – Chloe Cunniffe (Pittsford, N.Y.) totaled three consecutive double-doubles in a 2-1 week for Middlebury. The setter opened the week with 28 assists and 16 digs as the Panthers clawed back for a reverse sweep of Union (N.Y.). Cunniffe kept the momentum going, tying her career high in assists (31) alongside 12 digs and two aces to help spearhead a five-set marathon triumph over Bates before closing the week with 20 helpers, 15 digs and a service ace against Tufts. The rookie is tied atop the NESCAC leaderboard in total assists (313) and is third with 5.59 helpers per set.
 
Trinity – Trinity Fore (Castle Pines, Colo.) totaled 30 kills and 12 blocks, with a .400 hitting percentage in a 3-1 week for the Bantams. Fore hit .750 with 12 kills and six blocks in the 3-0 win over Western Connecticut. In NESCAC play, Fore had eight kills in a loss to Wesleyan. While adding 10 kills on 15 attempts with one error for a .600 hitting percentage to go with four blocks and three digs in a 3-0 win over Amherst.
 
Tufts – Junior right side Maiwenn Kamdje (Wellesley, Mass.) helped the Jumbos to a pair of 3-0 sweeps in NESCAC action, knocking off Hamilton and Middlebury. Kamdje hit .391 for the week, posting 3.83 kills per set with 23 kills, adding three total blocks. Kamdje finished with 14 kills on 23 attempts against Hamilton, hitting .522, while posting nine terminations against Middlebury. 
 
Wesleyan – Katelyn Olin (Lafayette, Calif.) led the Cardinals with a career-high 11 blocks (2 solo, 9 assisted) in a four-set win at Trinity on Friday night. The senior added four kills and no attack errors, hitting .500 in a three-set sweep of Conn. College on Saturday.
