The NESCAC has released its Players of the Week for the week of November 13. The conference recognizes student-athletes for each sport based on their contributions to their team each week. This week student-athletes are honored in the sports of men's basketball, women's basketball, football and volleyball.
Men's Basketball Player of the Week | Weekly Release & Honor Roll
Henry Vetter – Trinity – So. – G/F – Kenilworth, Ill.
Vetter led the Bantams in scoring in a pair of victories to open the 2023-24 season, averaging 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. In a victory at Regis, Vetter netted a game-high 19 points with five rebounds and an assist. Vetter stuffed the stat sheet in a 74-38 win over Hartford, scoring a game-high 17 points with a game-high eight assists, five rebounds, and two steals.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week | Weekly Release & Honor Roll
Arianna Gerig – Williams – Jr. – G/F – Westport, Conn.
Gerig was three assists shy of a triple-double, posting game-highs of 32 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, and two blocks in a 78-67 season-opening victory at the University of Hartford on Sunday. The junior shot 12-of-20 from the field and made eight free throws, to go along with two steals.

Offensive Player of the Week
Colton Fahey – Bowdoin – Sr. - WR - North Andover, Mass.
Fahey had a record-breaking performance in a historic win for the Polar Bears against Colby on Saturday. Fahey hauled in nine catches for 173 yards and two touchdowns against the Mules, helping lift the Polar Bears to their first CBB crown since 2010. In the process, Fahey became Bowdoin's career leader in receiving yards (2,068, breaking a 12-year-old record) and Bowdoin's career leader in touchdown receptions (16, breaking a record that stood since 1965). Fahey ranks second in the NESCAC in receiving yards this season (107.1 per game) and first in yards per catch (19.0). 
Defensive Player of the Week
Christian Moore – Amherst – WR – Fy. – Renton, Wash.
Moore had three tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, one pass breakup, and 123 return yards, plus a touchdown, in the Mammoths' 21-14 win over Williams. Moore's first interception came at the end of the first quarter at his own 4-yard line. The rookie returned it 76 yards and Amherst scored on the next play. On the Ephs' next possession, Moore recovered a fumble and returned it 47 yards for a touchdown, giving Amherst a 14-0 lead. The newcomer's second interception came in his own end zone with under two minutes to go to seal the Amherst victory.
 
Special Teams Player of the Week
Zach Levy – Middlebury – Jr. – K – Arvada, Colo.
Levy scored seven points in a 19-10 victory over Tufts to help Middlebury extend its winning streak to six games. For the third-straight week, the kicker converted a pair of field goals, moving him into a tie in the Middlebury record books with 10 on the season. With one PAT, Levy is tied for ninth with 24 this fall, and his 54 total points rank 10th all-time. 
 
Volleyball Player of the Week
Bella Ahearn - Wesleyan - Gr. - OH - Orlando, Fla.
When her team needed her the most, Ahearn stepped up in a big way, leading the Cardinals to the team's second NESCAC Championship and first since 2017. Stepping into a leading role due to injuries, playing the full rotation for the first time in her career, Ahearn started with a monster performance, including a season-high 14 kills with five digs and four total blocks while hitting .250 in a four-set win over Bowdoin. Ahearn followed that up with six kills, six digs, three total blocks, and two service aces as the Cardinals swept Williams in the title match, becoming the first team since 2013 to win the NESCAC Championship in a sweep.
