NESCAC Player of the Week
Henry Vetter – Trinity – So. – G/F – Kenilworth, Ill.
Vetter led the Bantams in scoring in a pair of victories to open the 2023-24 season, averaging 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. In a victory at Regis, Vetter netted a game-high 19 points with five rebounds and an assist. Vetter stuffed the stat sheet in a 74-38 win over Hartford, scoring a game-high 17 points with a game-high eight assists, five rebounds, and two steals.
 
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Junior Ryker Vance (Houston, Texas) had 18 points and 11 rebounds in the Mammoths' 82-79 overtime loss to Anna Maria, hitting 6-of-9 shots of his shots from the floor and going 6-of-7 from the free throw line. 

Bates Simon McCormick (Whitefield, Maine) scored 11 points on 4-for-9 shooting, knocking down 2-of-5 from 3-point range against Clark University on Saturday. The senior grabbed three rebounds, dished out four assists, and tallied a career-high six steals.

Colby - Starting his second game as a first-year Marcos Montiel (Somerville, Mass.) led Colby to a win over Gordon with 12 rebounds and 18 points for his first career double-double.  

Conn. College - Elias Espinosa (Leonia, N.J.) posted a game-high 19 points to lead Conn. College to a 74-65 victory over Mitchell College in its season opener last week. The sophomore shot 4-for-9 from long range and finished with four rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and two steals in 35 minutes of work.

MiddleburySam Stevens (Mansfield, Mass.) tallied the junior's fifth career double-double with career-highs in points (28) and rebounds (13) in a 68-62 loss to Saint Joseph (Conn.). The Panther has connected on at least one 3-pointer in 38 of 50 career contents, including two shots from beyond the arc on Saturday.

Tufts – The Jumbos opened the season with a 78-63 win over Endicott on Sunday, and sophomore James Morakis (Houston, Texas) was 8-of-14 from the floor while pouring in a career-high 22 points. Morakis hit on 2-of-5 of his shots from behind the arc and pulled in three boards to go with three assists in 31 minutes of action. 

WesleyanShane Regan (Larchmont, N.Y.) was named the John K. Adams Tip-Off Classic MVP after leading Wesleyan to a pair of wins over Hiram and Springfield. Regan averaged 20.5 points per game on 63 percent shooting from the floor with 4.5 assists per game. The junior started with 16 points (7-11 FG) and a career-high six assists in a 103-68 win over Hiram. The guard followed that up with a career-high 25 points (10-16 FG) in the title game win over Springfield, 83-51.

WilliamsAlex Lee (Houston, Texas) scored a team-high 14 points, to go along with four rebounds, three assists, and one steal, in a 64-32 victory over Dickinson on Sunday at WPI. The junior shot 5-of-5 from the free-throw line. Lee added seven points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals in a 77-62 setback at host WPI on Saturday.
