NESCAC Weekly Release - Sept. 14, 2026

The NESCAC has released its Players of the Week for the week ending September 13. The conference recognizes student-athletes for each sport based on their contributions to their team each week, based on information provided by the athletic communications offices on each campus. During the fall season, football, field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer, and volleyball will be announced on Mondays, while cross country runners of the week and golfers of the week will be announced on Tuesdays when selected.

NESCAC Field Hockey Player of the Week | Weekly Release
Isabelle Nahon – Hamilton – Sr. – D – Westport, Conn.
Nahon finished a 2-0 week with two goals and two assists for the Continentals. In a 2-1 double-overtime win against No. 10 Bates, Nahon had the assist on Hamilton's first goal early in the fourth quarter and scored the game-winner 1:39 into the second overtime period off a penalty corner. The senior added another goal and an assist in a 4-0 victory against RPI.

NESCAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week | Weekly Release
Yousuf Saeed – Wesleyan – Sr. – M – Houston, Texas
Saeed has scored in all three games to start the season for the 3-0 Cardinals, who upset Tufts in a 2-0 home win on Wednesday, snapping the Jumbos' 23-game unbeaten run. Saeed scored the game-winning goal in the victory over Tufts in the 52nd minute. The senior also scored the go-ahead goal in a 5-2 home win versus Swarthmore on Saturday. His marker in the 53rd minute put the Cardinals up 2-1 in a game they trailed 1-0. 

NESCAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week | Weekly Release
Frankie Marston – Middlebury – Jr. – GK – Vail, Colo.
Marston was a pivotal part of a 1-0-2 week in net for Middlebury. The Panther opened the slate with four saves in a 0-0 tie on the road against Union before tallying three stops in a 5-0 shutout of Connecticut College. Marston’s performance against the Camels helped seal the program’s fifth consecutive home opening triumph. The junior closed the week with a career-high seven saves to solidify a 1-1 tie against defending Liberty League Champion and unbeaten Vassar.

NESCAC Volleyball Player of the Week | Weekly Release
Brianna Hazak – Colby – So. – OH – Aurora, Colo.
Hazak led the Mules to wins over three ranked opponents at the Emory East/West Classic to open the 2026 season. The sophomore collected 39 kills, 33 digs, seven blocks, and 10 aces across the three matches, good for 53.5 points, all career-highs.  Against No. 16 WashU, Hazak had a match-high 17 kills in a five-set victory. The sophomore posted double-doubles against No. 18 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (12 kills, 15 digs) and No. 17 Emory (10 kills, 10 digs). Her six aces against CMS helped the Mules down the Athenas in four sets. After appearing in only two sets a year ago, Hazak sat out only 15 of the 517 plays last week.
