Three NESCAC women's swimmers were selected to the 2026 CSC Academic All-America Team, announced by College Sports Communicators. The Amherst duo of Maeve Kelley and Donna Zhang, along with Tufts' Madeleine Dunn, were all third-team selections.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must compete in 75 percent of competitions, finish in the top eight at a conference meet, or compete in a national championship, have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and be a sophomore or higher in academic standing.
Kelley earns her first CSC Academic All-America honor as an economics major with a 3.86 GPA. Kelley swam her way to All-America honors in four events at the NCAA Championships, earning a First Team selection in the 200 butterfly after a school-record swim, and Second Team accolades in the 100 butterfly and 400 and 800 freestyle relays.
Zhang, a mathematics and statistics major with a 3.88 GPA, also garnered her first Academic All-America selection with the best season of her career. Named the 2025-26 NESCAC Co-Diver of the Year, Zhang also earned a First Team All-America selection in the 3-meter and a Second Team award in the 1-meter diving events at the NCAA Championships.
A biopsychology major with a 3.73 grade point average, Dunn is a three-year NESCAC All-Academic Team member and a College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American three times (2023-25).
In the pool, Dunn had an outstanding senior season. At the NCAA Championships, she earned All-American honors in four events with three top-eight finishes in the 1650 freestyle (third), 500 freestyle (fifth), and 400 individual medley (eighth). She was also selected as the NESCAC Swimmer of the Year, the first member of the Tufts women's team to earn the honor, after winning the NESCAC Championships in the 500, 1000, and 1650 freestyles, and breaking school records in the 400 IM and the 1650 freestyle at the conference championship meet.
A four-year All-American who earned the national honor in 12 events overall (five first team), she was also a seven-time conference champion who won the NESCAC Career High Point Award at the 2026 championship meet for her four-year accomplishments at the meet. Named NESCAC Rookie of the Year in 2023, Dunn owns four school records overall, including the 500 and 1000 freestyles.
