NESCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Awards Announced

HADLEY, Mass. - Following the completion of the 2026 NESCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championships hosted by Wesleyan, several year-end awards were handed out. Additionally, a complete list of the All-NESCAC swimmers and divers is provided below.
 
NESCAC Swimmer of the Year: Madeleine Dunn, Tufts
Dunn was named NESCAC Swimmer of the Year after winning the 500, 1000, and 1650 freestyle events. The senior also swam the lead leg for the Jumbos' 800 freestyle relay that earned All-NESCAC honors third at the meet. Dunn is Tufts' first-ever Swimmer of the Year in the 24-year history of the award. Dunn also won the NESCAC Career High-Points Swimmer award for the 355 points scored in four conference championships since 2023.
 
NESCAC Co-Divers of the Year: Donna Zhang, Amherst & Avery Rappaport, Colby
Zhang finished as the NESCAC Runner-Up on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards, while Rappaport won the 3-meter diving competition to become the first Colby diver to win a NESCAC title in a diving event.
 
NESCAC Rookie of the Year: Sophie Phelps, Williams
Phelps won three NESCAC titles in the 200 IM, 400 IM, and the 100 freestyle and was part of three winning relays (800 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 400 medley relay) and contributed to the Ephs’ 400 freestyle relay that finished second.

NESCAC Diving Coach of the Year: Brad Snodgrass, Tufts
Snodgrass was voted NESCAC Diving Coach of the Year for the third time by his peers. The Jumbos had three divers score in the top eight for the 3-meter event, and two in the top nine for 1-meter.
 
NESCAC Swimming Co-Coaching Staff of the Year: Wesleyan & Williams
Wesleyan Staff: Vanessa Williamson, Hailey Nyquist, Kim Georgiades
Williamson, in her third season at the helm of the Cardinals, was recognized for the first time in her career. It was the third time in championship history that coaches from Wesleyan were honored.
Williams Staff: Steve Kuster, Allie Clark, James Singewald, Trent Makowiec
The Williams staff was recognized for the third consecutive season and the 10th time head coach Steve Kuster has earned the award in the championship's history.
