Three NESCAC teams make up the 2026 NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Division III Final Four field. Middlebury cruised past TCNJ, 19-4, while Wesleyan defeated NESCAC rival Trinity, 7-5, and Tufts posted a 16-10 victory over conference foe Williams.
Middlebury faces Tufts in a rematch of last year’s national championship game on Friday, May 22, at Noon at Judson Stadium on the campus of RIT in Rochester, New York. Wesleyan is set to face Salisbury on Friday at 3 p.m. The semifinal winners will square off for the NCAA title on Sunday, May 24 at 3 p.m.
Middlebury def. TCNJ, 19-4 | Box Score
Sophia Lee, Maeve Lee, and Skylar Lach each scored three goals as Middlebury dominated TCNJ 19-4 at Peter Kohn Field. The Panthers, the four-time defending national champions, advance to the Final Four for the seventh straight year.
Middlebury (21-0) never trailed, scoring nine first-quarter goals to put the game away before halftime. Caroline Adams added two goals and three assists, while Parker Hanson finished with four assists. Middlebury controlled the draw circle 18-7 and outshot TCNJ 32-9.
Goalie Elizabeth Savage made three saves before giving way to Annie Spring in the fourth quarter.
Marissa Lucca provided TCNJ's bright spot, scoring twice in the second quarter, but Middlebury answered with eight unanswered goals to close things out. Hailey Wexler made nine saves for the Lions (18-4).
Wesleyan def. Trinity, 7-5 | Box Score
Dylan Green scored two goals and added three assists as Wesleyan held off Trinity 7-5 Sunday at Smith Field, sending the Cardinals to the NCAA Division III Final Four for the first time since 2019.
Green's third-quarter free-position goal broke a 4-4 tie and sparked a three-goal run that proved decisive. Addie Cummings finished with two goals, including a man-up score in the fourth quarter that extended the lead to 7-4. Goalie Izzy Weintraub made six saves for Wesleyan (19-3).
Trinity (14-7) rallied from a 3-2 first-quarter deficit to lead 4-3 after Kaeley Zito's goal midway through the second period, but couldn't sustain the momentum. Lily Acerra scored twice for the Bantams, and Alison MacDougall stopped five shots.
Tufts def. Williams, 16-10 | Box Score
Eleanor Helm set a Tufts program single-game record with 11 points on five goals and added six assists as Tufts pulled away from Williams to win 16-10 at Bello Field, punching the Jumbos' ticket to the Final Four.
Helm was the engine of a Tufts offense that built a 9-2 lead through the second quarter before Williams mounted a spirited second-half comeback. Anna Mollahan added four goals and Allie Zorn chipped in two goals and three assists for the Jumbos (18-3), who outshot the Ephs 35-21.
Williams (12-9) rallied from seven down to cut the deficit to 12-10 on Ainsley Abel's goal with 7:48 remaining in the fourth quarter. But Tufts answered with four straight to close it out, including Zorn's man-up tally and Schuyler Lloyd's goal off a Helm feed.
Franny Donohue led Williams with three goals. Goalkeeper Charlotte Cote made nine saves in a losing effort.
Tufts has reached the NCAA Final Four for the fifth time in program history. Last year, the Jumbos finished as the national runners-up after falling 10-9 to Middlebury in the championship game.
