The Bowdoin Polar Bears cruised to a 20-7 victory and ended the Cinderella season of the Hope College Flying Dutchmen.
Bowdoin led 6-2 after the first 15 minutes and used another 6-0 rally sandwiched around intermission to increase the lead to 12-2 en route to the final margin.
Huck Trafton led the Polar Bears with four goals and five points. Hudson Greene added four points with a hat trick and an assist. Alec Delgado picked up the win in the cage with six saves.
Hope’s Jack Balmforth was credited with 19 saves as Bowdoin outshot Hope, 64-21. The Polar Bears also went 26-for-31 at the X to control possession throughout.
Bowdoin improves to 19-1 and advances to the semifinal round for the third consecutive season and will host the RIT, a 21-14 winner over Babson, on Saturday, May 16 at 7 p.m. at Whittier Field. Hope suffers its first loss of the season and ends its season at 20-1.
