Looking back on your college years, what are you most proud of?
I am most proud of all of the connections I have made. Bowdoin has opened doors for me that I would have never thought were possible, and I am proud of the effort I put into connecting with others, even when it was uncomfortable at first.
What’s your go-to warm-up song?
Sweet Escape by BigXThaPlug
What is something you enjoy doing that you never get tired of?
Getting meals with my teammates at Moulton.
What has been your favorite class
My favorite class has been Mathematical Reasoning with Professor Taback. I went into Bowdoin thinking I wanted to major in economics, but after taking this class, I quickly changed my mind. Not only was it intellectually challenging, but it also gave me a new outlook on what math could be. I’m especially grateful to have taken it with Professor Taback, who is one of the most articulate and compassionate professors I’ve met. She not only brings an incredible passion for the subject but also for her students, the kind of teacher who makes you feel both supported and inspired to think differently.
Who is your favorite professor?
Ray Maresca: He is a great mentor to me, and I value the relationship we have built.
What internships/research projects have you participated in?
This past summer, I worked as an intern at an asset management firm in LA, where my team’s goal was to develop an agentic portfolio manager. It was an incredible experience that taught me the value of collaboration, independent learning, and building connections. I met so many talented people across different fields. My favorite experience from the summer was actually attending a NESCAC happy hour of people who worked at the company and attended different NESCAC schools.
What has been the most interesting part of your major?
The most interesting part of my major is that there’s always another problem to solve. Once you understand one concept, it opens the door to a dozen more ways of thinking, each one building on the last. I love how math and computer science constantly challenge you to connect ideas, think creatively, and keep learning.
What is your favorite place on your campus?
My favorite place on campus is the Sidney J. Watson Arena. Being on the hockey team, it’s where I’ve made some of my best memories at Bowdoin. Whether it’s early morning practices, game nights, or just being in the locker room with the team, Watson has become a second home.
What is something interesting about you that others might not know?
I’m taller than both of my parents.
What is something you enjoy doing when not in class or competing in your sport
I enjoy playing golf with my friends or giving friends that I have not talked to in a while a call.
