NESCAC Player of the Week
Jacob Osborne – Bowdoin – So. - G – Gloucester, Ontario
Osborne was named the Most Valuable Player of the inaugural Lobster Pot Tournament on January 2-3, as the Polar Bears claimed the first-ever tournament title featuring the four Division III men's hockey programs in Maine. The sophomore posted a 23-save shutout in a semifinal win over the University of Southern Maine and followed it up with a 31-save effort against No. 7 University of New England, holding the nation's third-ranked scoring offense to a pair of goals in a 6-2 victory. For the weekend, Osborne posted a 1.00 GAA and a .964 save percentage. 

NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Senior forward Josh Burke (Tampa, Fla.) had a hand in all three Mammoth goals in a 3-2 win over Plattsburgh State on Saturday in the championship game of the Comfort Inn Complex Winter Classic. Burke scored power-play goals in the first and second periods and assisted on the game-winning goal, also on the power-play, in the third. Amherst went 2-0-0 last week and stands at 5-4-1 on the season. Burke leads the team in goals (6), assists (5), and points (11).

Colby – Junior Matthew MacDonald (East Weymouth, Mass.) tallied two goals and an assist in the first annual Lobster Pot Tournament. In a setback against No. 7 University of New England, the junior assisted Colby's lone goal in the waning seconds of the first to tie the game at 1-1. Against the University of Southern Maine, MacDonald scored the opener in the first and added a second marker in the third period to guide the Mules to a 4-3 win. 

Conn. College - First-year forward Ryan McKenna (Garden City, N.Y.) led Conn. College as at the Boston Landing Invitational over the weekend, recording three points and one blocked shot. On Saturday night in a 6-3 win over Southern New Hampshire, McKenna tallied the Camels’ third goal of the game to extend Conn. College’s lead to 3-1, before assisting on the team’s fourth and sixth goals.

Hamilton – Jackson Krock (Mars, Pa.) tied a career high with four points on two goals and two assists and won 16-of-28 faceoffs in a 7-3 victory at Plymouth State. Krock was even better at the faceoff dot in a 4-2 setback at No. 8 Curry, winning 22 and losing just eight faceoffs. The senior is second in the NESCAC in faceoff winning percentage at 59.3 percent.

MiddleburyLuc Malkhassian (Toronto, Ontario) excelled in a two-game week against No. 1 Hobart and New England College. The rookie had three shots on target against the top-ranked Statesmen. Against the Pilgrims, Malkhassian tallied a career high three points (1g, 2a) to help guide the Panthers to a 4-0 victory. The forward is tied for the team lead with three goals and second on the team in assists with seven.

Trinity – Sophomore Ryan Panico (Southport, Conn.) helped lead the Bantams to a pair of victories to kick off the New Year, racking up four points with three goals on nine shots with an assist. After giving up an early goal to Albertus Magnus, Panico netted the equalizer to spark a five-goal spurt from Trinity en route to the 5-1 victory. In an 8-0 win over Western Connecticut State, Panico potted a pair of goals and delivered an assist on a power play tally.

Tufts – Ethan Ullrick (Lakewood, Ill.) scored the game-winning goal in overtime to complete Tufts' comeback victory, 4-3, against ninth-ranked SUNY Geneseo on Saturday at the Tampa College Hockey Invitational. Tufts had trailed the Knights 3-0 in the second period. The victory stopped a three-game slide for the Jumbos. Ullrick also had an assist in the Jumbos' first game in Florida against Salve Regina on Thursday, which helped tie the score at 1-1. The junior totaled one goal and one assist for two points on the trip.

Wesleyan – Rookie Dylan Margel (Potomac, Md.) scored the game-winner in overtime, lifting Wesleyan to a 3-2 overtime win over Suffolk on Saturday in a tournament hosted at Plattsburgh State. Margel finished with six shots, recording four in the extra period, while finishing the game with a +3 plus/minus rating as he was on-ice for all three Wesleyan goals.

Williams – Gates Omicioli (East Greenwich, R.I.) recorded one goal and three assists in two games played at Oswego last week for the Ephs. The rookie finished with two assists in a 5-5 tie at No. 6-ranked Oswego State on Friday and recorded one goal and one assist in a setback against No. 10 Babson on Saturday.
