NESCAC Player of the Week
Vincent Lamberti – Amherst – Fy. - G – Los Angeles, Calif.
Lamberti made two starts and went 1-0-1 last week, stopping 51 of 52 shots he faced against two nationally-ranked opponents. In a 3-0 win over No. 9 Geneseo, the rookie stopped all 25 shots he faced to record his second career shutout. On Sunday at No. 11 Babson, he stopped 26 of 27 shots faced in a 1-1 tie (shootout loss).
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Bowdoin – Rookie
Ricky Volpe (Commack, N.Y.) scored three goals over the weekend as the Polar Bears claimed the Bowdoin-Colby Faceoff Classic crown with a pair of wins. Down 2-0 on Saturday against Gustavus Adolphus, Volpe scored twice in the second period to spark a four-goal rally that gave Bowdoin a 4-2 win. On Sunday against Saint Anselm's, Volpe scored his third goal of the weekend, giving Bowdoin the lead for good late in the first period, on their way to an eventual 7-1 win.
Colby –
Colby Browne (Evergreen, Colo.) helped the Mules to a 2-0-1 week with three goals and two assists. Against Suffolk, the sophomore tied the game at 1-1 in the first period and tallied the game-winner with five minutes to play in the third period. After collecting two assists in Saturday's win against St. Anselm's, Browne netted Colby's lone goal in Sunday's 1-1 tie against Gustavus Adolphus. The forward shares the NESCAC lead with six goals on the season.
Conn. College - Sophomore forward
Jack Houser (Arlington, Mass.) paced Conn. College with four points on three goals and one assist as the Camels went 2-0 last week. Against Johnson and Wales, Houser picked up the primary assist on the game's opening goal before tallying the game-winner with just over five minutes remaining in the second period. Houser added his second goal of the night early in the third period, as the Camels pulled away for a 7-2 win. Conn. College handed Salve Regina its first loss of the year, as Houser notched an insurance marker with 85 seconds remaining, in the Camels’ 4-2 victory.
Hamilton –
Luke Tchor (Toronto, Ontario) posted four points in two wins as the Continentals captured the Utica Thanksgiving Showcase title. Tchor scored two goals and added an assist in a 6-0 victory against SUNY Morrisville. It was the junior's first multi-goal game since Jan. 24, 2025. The winger notched a power-play goal late in the second period that tied the score, and Hamilton went on to defeat 10th-ranked Utica 3-1 in the championship game. Tchor, who has scored a goal in all but one of the Continentals' six games, was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
Middlebury –
Jack Silverman (Toronto, Ontario) led Middlebury to a runner-up showing in the LayerEight Shootout hosted by Norwich University. In the Panthers' 5-2 triumph over Plattsburgh State, the forward tallied a goal and added a helper on an empty-netter late. Silverman followed with an assist on Middlebury’s first tally and scored the team’s second goal late in the second period as the sides skated to a 2-2 tie. The sophomore leads the team with six points this season.
Trinity –
Blake Cotton (Vancouver, British Columbia) powered the Bantams to their first victory of the season, registering his first career hat trick in the 6-1 win over Plymouth State. Cotton potted his first career goal less than four minutes into the contest, followed by the game-winning tally just 15 seconds into the second period. The first-year's final strike came on a Bantam power play to close the second period.
Tufts –
Gus Bylin (Montclair, N.J.) backed the Jumbos through a successful week, which included a pair of wins against ranked opponents and winning the Skidmore Thanksgiving Invitational in a shootout against the hosts. Bylin had 30 saves in a 5-1 win at No. 11 Babson and stopped 34 shots in a 3-2 victory against No. 5 University of New England in the first round of the tournament. Both of those squads had been previously unbeaten. In the shootout for the tournament championship against host Skidmore, Bylin had saves on two of Skidmore's three attempts as the Jumbos won 2-1 after making 33 saves in regulation and OT, which ended in a 3-3 tie. The senior was named to the All-Tournament team. For the three games last week, Bylin had 97 saves and allowed six goals in 185 minutes for a .942 save percentage and 1.95 goals against average.
Williams –
Connor Berg (Natick, Mass.) finished with two assists at No. 11-ranked Babson Saturday afternoon.
