For the first time since 2016, Tufts will host the remaining round of the 2025 NESCAC Field Hockey Championship at Ounjian Field on November 8 and 9. The top four seeds in the NESCAC Field Hockey Championship advanced through to the semifinals for the first time since 2021.
The Jumbos are also hosting the semifinals and championship games for the NESCAC Men’s and Women’s Soccer Tournaments on November 8 and 9. It is the first time in conference history that the same institution earned the No. 1 seed in field hockey, men’s soccer, and women’s soccer, and will host the semifinals and championship games in those sports in the same season.

No. 4 Wesleyan (13-3) vs. No. 1 Tufts (14-2)
- Tufts, the defending NESCAC Champion, is in the semifinals for the fourth time in five seasons following a 3-2 victory over No. 8 Amherst. Reagan Malo scored twice, including the game-winning tally at the 46:58 mark, to lead the Jumbos.
- The Jumbos have scored a NESCAC-best 54 goals, while allowing just 17 this season. Hannah Biccard leads the NESCAC with 13 goals and is tied for second in the NESCAC with 29 points. Rookie Eleanor Helm is fourth among the conference leaders with 28 points (11G, 6A). Lydia Eastburn is the top netminder for Tufts and carries a 1.01 goals against average and .773 save percentage into the weekend.
- Wesleyan, which earned the No. 4 seed matching the highest seed in program history, defeated No. 5 Williams, 2-1, for the Cardinals’ first NESCAC Tournament win since 2005. The victory also extended Wesleyan’s win streak to nine games, one shy of the team record set in 1979.
- Georgia Adams, who scored in the quarterfinal, and teammate Leila Feldman (5 game-winning goals) have combined for 18 goals (9 each) to lead the Cardinal offense. Meera Patel and Brook Miner have totaled 14 assists (7 each) to rank second among the conference assist leaders. Audrey Pace has bolstered the Wesleyan defense in the cage. She leads the NESCAC with a .819 save percentage to go with a 1.12 goals against average.
- Tufts defeated Wesleyan, 4-1, on September 27 at Ounjian Field. The Jumbos are 5-1 against the Cardinals in the NESCAC Tournament series. The teams last met in the 2012 quarterfinals with Tufts posting a 2-0 victory.
No. 3 Bates (13-3) vs. No. 2 Middlebury (12-4)
- Middlebury advanced to its 22nd semifinal with a 3-2 overtime win against No. 7 Bowdoin at Peter Kohn Field. Four minutes into extra time, Claire McMichael scored her third goal of the season to propel Middlebury to the next round.
- The Panthers have won six of the last seven NESCAC titles and own 10 championships overall, the most by any conference team.
- This season, Middlebury’s results versus conference opponents have all been one-goal games, with eight contests going to overtime and two determined by a shootout.
- The Panthers have conceded 17 goals while scoring 41. Megan Fuqua leads the team with nine goals and 20 points in 13 games played, and McMichael has handed out six assists. Izzy Redzic ranks second in the conference goals against average (0.96) and carries a .775save percentage.
- Bates, the NESCAC Runner-Up last season, earned the No. 3 seed, matching the highest seed in team history. The Bobcats advanced to the semifinals for the third straight season behind a 1-0 shootout victory over No. 6 Hamilton. Ava Donohue allowed on goal in five Hamilton attempts and Brooke Moloney-Kolenberg and Elena Agosti scored to secure the win in the shootout.
- Moloney-Kolenberg paces the Bobcats with nine goals, five assists, and 23 points, while Elsa Copeland has contributed six goals, five assists, and 17 points. Donohue has posted three shutouts this season and owns a 1.16 goals against average and .763 save percentage.
- Middlebury defeated Bates, 2-1, on the final weekend of the regular season (Oct. 25). The Panthers are 4-1 against the Bobcats in the NESCAC Tournament, but the Bobcats earned their first win over Middlebury in last year’s semifinal, 2-1, to reach the championship game for the first time in program history.
