NESCAC Volleyball Weekly Release - Oct. 27, 2025

Every Monday during the season, one NESCAC Player of the Week will be selected based on information submitted by the athletic communications offices at member institutions.

NESCAC Volleyball Player of the Week
Gabby Grujic – Colby – Jr. – Setter – San Rafael, Calif.

Grujic averaged a double-double as Colby took on No. 3 Wisconsin-Oshkosh, No. 8 Wisconsin-Whitewater, and Augustana last week. The junior setter collected 31 assists (one away from her career-high) in both matches Saturday, including Colby's five-set win to knock off Whitewater in what is believed to be the program’s first win over a top-10 opponent. Grujic averaged 30.3 assists (6.07 per set) and 16 digs across all three matches, adding four kills and two aces.

Amherst 
– Amherst went 2-0 with wins over Emerson and Wellesley last week and Gabrielle Hines (Chesterfield, Va.) played a big role. In the win over Emerson, the first year notched a career-high 13 kills with three digs and a block. In the win over Wellesley, Hines had six kills, four digs, an assist, and a block.

Bates – Anais Renaum (San Diego, Calif.) had a strong week as the Bobcats went 3-0 with wins over Fisher, Maine Maritime Academy, and Mount Holyoke. The sophomore tallied six kills with a hitting percentage of .600 to go along with two blocks in a 3-0 victory on Wednesday over the Falcons. The middle hitter notched seven kills with a hitting percentage of .583 to go along with three blocks in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Mariners. Renaum added a team-high 13 kills with a .550 hitting percentage to go along with seven blocks in a 3-1 win over Mount Holyoke to cap off the undefeated week for Bates. The Bobcats (12-8) have secured their most wins in one season since 2019.

Bowdoin - Sophomore Alison Smith (Winnetka, Ill.) had 20 kills in a Friday five-set loss to Wellesley. Smith is averaging 4.1 kills per set and hitting .424 over her last four matches.

Conn. College – Grace Anderson (Pawling, N.Y.) led the Camels to a 3-2 victory at Emerson last week. The sophomore finished with a team-high 19 kills for a second consecutive game, tying a career high while hitting .571 in the match. Anderson also recorded a pair of blocks as Conn. College extended its winning streak to four games. 

Hamilton – Elodie McGeiver (Brooklyn, N.Y.) totaled 16 kills, 13 digs, eight blocks, and 20.0 points in six sets as the Continentals won two non-conference matches. McGeiver tied a career high with six blocks and added seven digs and five kills in a victory against University of Hartford. The junior led Hamilton with 11 kills and only had one error in 25 attempts for a .400 hitting percentage in a win against Wheaton. McGeiver chipped in six digs and two blocks against the Lyons.
 
Middlebury – Junior Gabby Pribisich (Cleveland, Ohio) tallied a team-high 26 kills and a .382 hitting percentage over three matches in the ultra-competitive New England Challenge hosted by Springfield. In a five-set battle with Babson, Pribisich recorded a career-high 16 successful attacks and had three blocks. The Panther also surpassed the 50-block mark for the second season in a row.

Trinity – First-year Emma Ewart (San Diego, Calif.) powered the Bantams to 1-1 record in a pair of non-conference battles, amassing 21 kills, 39 digs, three assists, one block, and one ace. Ewart posted a pair of double-doubles, logging 10 kills and a career-high 22 digs in a four-set battle with Coast Guard, followed by an 11-kill, 17-dig performance in a five-set comeback victory over Smith.

Tufts - Middle blocker Julia Griffiths (Lexington, Mass.) was named to the New England Challenge All-Tournament Team. The senior was a force at the net defensively for the Jumbos. Tufts went 2-1 on the weekend with wins over Springfield and Babson, as Griffiths finished with 21 total blocks (7 solo, 14 assisted) in three matches and averaged 2.1 blocks per set. Griffiths also added eight kills. On Saturday against Babson, she totaled 11 blocks which tied for the most in a match this season in the NESCAC and was the fifth-most of any NCAA Division III player this year.

Wesleyan - Siena Steines (Hinsdale, Ill.) hit .500 or better in two home wins for the Cardinals last weekend. Steines opened with nine kills on 16 swings, hitting .500 in a three-set sweep of Smith. The sophomore followed with eight kills on 13 swings, hitting .538, to go along with two blocks in a sweep of Coast Guard. For the week, Steines posted 17 kills with just two errors on 29 attempts for a .517 attack percentage. 

Williams – Junior Keely Campuzano (Excelsior, Minn.) posted 16 kills on 34 attempts, while hitting .353, in the Ephs' five-set win over Springfield as part of the New England Challenge last weekend. Overall, Campuzano chipped in 27 kills and hit .216 for the tournament.
