Every Monday during the season, one NESCAC Player of the Week will be selected based on information submitted by the athletic communications offices at member institutions.

Zoe Ryu – Bowdoin – Fy. – Outside Hitter – Washington, D.C.

Ryu averaged 4.8 kills and 2.8 digs per set last weekend for the Polar Bears in a pair of NESCAC contests. In a 3-0 win at Middlebury on Friday, Ryu posted 11 kills and just one error. On Saturday at Williams, Ryu came within one kill of the school's single-match record, posting 28 in a five-set setback to the Ephs, which a top-15 performance in a five-set match in Division III this season. In addition to the 23 digs, Ryu also had nine total blocks across the two matches.

Amherst 
– Charlotte Rasmussen (Los Angeles, Calif.) led the Mammoths in both matches last week. The senior registered 14 kills and 13 digs in a 3-0 loss to Wesleyan on Saturday after notching 11 kills and 11 digs in a 3-0 setback to Springfield on Thursday. 

Bates – Malina Young (Redondo Beach, Calif.) was solid in a 3-0 win over Husson (3 kills, 2 service aces, 4 digs) and against Connecticut College (6 kills, 5 digs), but stood out in a 3-1 win on Saturday over Trinity, tallying a double-double with a season-high 10 kills and a career-high 15 digs. The sophomore also recorded a pair of blocks and a service ace to help Bates earn its second NESCAC win of the season.

Colby Brady Moseley (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) led Colby to a pair of road wins in NESCAC action last weekend. On Friday, the Mules earned a 3-1 win over Williams and Colby posted a 3-1 victory over Middlebury on Saturday in a rematch of the 2024 conference championship match. Moseley reached double-digits in kills for the ninth and tenth times this season, with her 17 kills against the Panthers marking one below her season-high. The junior leads the NESCAC in kills per set with 3.48. Moseley also a collected 23 digs across the two contests.  

Conn. College – Rae Wartelle (Tacoma, Wash.) led the Camels to a 2-1 week that included wins over Saint Joseph and Bates. The junior averaged 3.6 kills per set in league action and led Conn. College with 14 kills, four aces, and three blocks in the win over the Bobcats. Wartelle also supplied 15 kills, two aces, and a block in a five-set loss against No. 25 Tufts. 

Hamilton – Rookie Grace Seaman (Burlington, Mass.) led the Continentals with a season-high 12 kills in a three-set loss against Wesleyan. Junior Elodie McGeiver (Brooklyn, N.Y.) matched a season high with a team-best 12 kills as Hamilton swept Clarkson in three sets. Sophomore Ayzlinn Trefren (Simi Valley, Calif.) led the Continentals against the Golden Knights with 14 points on 10 kills, a career high-tying three aces and one solo block.

Middlebury – Sophomore Annabella Rando (San Jose, Calif.) paced the Middlebury defense in two NESCAC matches, tallying 38 total digs and 5.43 digs per set. The defensive specialist tallied 19 digs and two service aces in a three-set battle with Bowdoin. Rando closed the weekend with 19 digs and three aces in a rematch of last season’s conference championship tilt with Colby. The Panther has double-digit digs in eight of the last 10 matches and leads the team with 33 aces this season.

Tufts - Claire Castor (Carmel, Ind.) helped the Jumbo volleyball team to a pair of wins in NESCAC action. The junior led the squad with 26 kills and .377 hitting over the two contests. Castor was the team's top passer with a reception percentage of .976 over 42 attempts, and added 21 digs and four aces. Against Trinity on Friday, the outside hitter posted 10 kills on 21 attempts, hitting .476 with an ace and 13 digs. Castor followed up with 16 kills on 40 swings, three aces, and eight digs along with 1.00 passing percentage on 19 attempts in a 3-2 win over Conn. College. 

Wesleyan - Siena Steines (Hinsdale, Ill.) led the Cardinals to a pair of road wins in NESCAC play, starting with a 7-for-10 showing on her attempts in Friday night's sweep at Hamilton. Steines hit .700 in that match, totaling seven kills with no errors. On Saturday, Steines led the Cardinals in a three-set thriller at Amherst. The sophomore registered 14 of her 15 kills in the second and third sets combined, which the Cardinals won by respective score lines of 31-29 and 27-25. Steines added five digs and two blocks in the Saturday sweep at Amherst.
