NESCAC Volleyball Player of the Week
Michelle Jorba - Wesleyan - Sr. - OH – New York, N.Y.
Jorba
 helped the Cardinals post a perfect NESCAC weekend that saw Wesleyan sweep both Trinity and Conn. College. In the two matches, the senior combined for 27 kills (4.5 per set) on 51 attempts with just three attack errors, hitting .471. Jorba added four digs and three total blocks in the two matches. She was at her best against Trinity, matching her career-high with 17 kills on just 30 attempts, hitting .533 as Wesleyan defeated a Bantam team in three sets that came into Friday night with just one loss. Jorba followed that up with 10 kills on 21 attempts (.381 attack percentage) in a sweep of the Camels.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – 
Anaya Thomas (Montgomery, Ala.) had 23 kills in a pair of three-set losses. The senior averaged 3.9 kills per set and contributed 22 digs and one block over six sets. 
Bates – 
Skye Higashihara (Honolulu, Hawaii) posted a team-leading seven kills at Williams on Saturday. The rookie did not commit an attack error, or an error on any of her sets, which led to match-high 18 assists against the Ephs. Higashihara also notched a service ace, a block, and four digs. The first-year’s performance came on the heels of 22 assists and nine digs Friday at Middlebury. Higashihara ranks third in the NESCAC at 8.72 assists per set.
 
Bowdoin - Sophomore 
Skye LaMendola (Farmers Branch, Texas) totaled 13 kills and eight digs in a 3-0 sweep of Amherst on Friday night.
Colby - With conference wins over Hamilton and Amherst,
 Marjorie Johnson (Spring, Texas) led Colby to its first 14-1 start since 2005. Johnson paced the Mules in Clinton with a career-high 17 kills in four sets and led Colby at Amherst with 13 kills in the three-set sweep. Johnson hit .418, recorded 30 kills, just seven errors, and averaged 4.29 kills per set. Her 30 kills in the two matches are tied for a team-high this season.
 
Connecticut College – 
Mila Chan (San Francisco, Calif.) hit .205 and averaged a team-high 5.0 kills per set last week in league action at Wesleyan, the lone match for the Camels. The rookie finished with a match-high 15 kills on 39 swings and added five digs and a block. 
Hamilton - 
Drew Stimson (Belvedere Tiburon, Calif.) tied a career-high with 16 kills, posted a career-best eight blocks, served two aces, and had a .308 hitting percentage in a five-set win over Bowdoin – the Continentals' first against the Polar Bears since 2001. Stimson recorded 13 kills, two aces, and a .478 hitting percentage in a four-set loss to Colby. The senior finished with just six attack errors in nine sets over the two matches.
Middlebury - Gabbie O’Toole (Overland Park, Kan.) helped Middlebury extend its win streak to 10 straight matches while becoming just the second Panther in school history to eclipse 3,000 career assists. The senior averaged 11.1 assists per set and 3.60 digs per set in a 3-0 week for Middlebury. The setter started the week posting a career-high in helpers with 38 in a 3-0 win at Union. In a 4-1 triumph over Tufts, O’Toole dug out a season-best 16 balls, while reaching the 40-assist plateau for the 17th time in her career. The Panther also tallied three service aces over the three-matches, moving her into eighth place all-time with 136. O’Toole now has 3,006 helpers, which ranks in the top 20 among her Division III senior peers, while her 536 assists pace the NESCAC. 
Trinity – 
Eva Lekovic (San Marino, Calif.) paced the Bantams’ offense in a 2-1 week, totaling 29 kills, 11 digs, and seven blocks. Lekovic recorded 10 kills, three digs, and three blocks in a three-set battle at Wesleyan. In a tri-match against Worcester State and Nichols, Lekovic notched 10 kills, three digs, and block in a 3-0 sweep against the Lancers. The senior followed with a nine-kill, five-dig, three-block performance in a 3-0 win over the Bison. 
 
Tufts –
 Emma Heckmen (San Diego, Calif.) helped lead the Jumbos to a 1-1 week. Heckman averaged 12.7 kills per match (3.25 per set) against Williams and Middlebury. Heckman tallied 12 kills in a four-set win over Williams followed by a team-high 14 kills in a 3-1 loss at Middlebury. The sophomore also averaged four blocks per match and tallied 11 total digs for the week. 
Williams – Sophomore 
Keely Campuzano (Excelsior, Minn.) posted 13 kills, four digs, and two block assists against Tufts and followed up that performance with five kills in a 3-0 sweep of visiting Bates Saturday.
