In 2025-26 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams maintained a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale), to earn the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award.

Included among those teams were 10 NESCAC schools - Amherst, Bowdoin, Colby, Conn. College, Hamilton, Middlebury, Trinity, Tufts, Wesleyan, and Williams. The Bowdoin, Conn. College, Middlebury and Williams squads earned the additional distinction of Team Academic Honor Roll which celebrates the programs in the top 20% of GPAs in their division.
