2008-09 Women's Swimming & Diving All-Conference Team Announced

Williams First Year Logan Todhunter Garners Swimmer of the Meet

HADLEY, Mass. - The NESCAC announced today the 2008-09 Women's Swimming and Diving All-Conference Team. The top three finishers in each event at the 2009 NESCAC Women's Swimming and Diving Championship received All-Conference recognition.

Williams first-year Logan Todhunter (Ithaca, N.Y.) came away with Swimmer of the Meet honors at this year's championship. Todhunter placed first in the 50, 100, and 200-yard Butterfly individual races and contributed to the Ephs' victories in the 200 and 400-yard Freestyle Relays and the 200 and 400-yard Medley Relays. All seven events that Todhunter participated in broke championship records. Four-Year High Point Swimmer went to senior teammate Amanda Nicholson (Chappaqua, N.Y.), as she earned individual titles in the 200-yard Backstroke and the 400-yard IM at this year's NESCAC Meet. Bates senior Kelsey Lamdin (Brunswick, Maine) was named the Diver of the Meet and also claimed Four Year High-Point Diving honors after setting a Greason Pool record in the 1-meter Diving event and also winning the 3-meter Diving competition.

Nancy Bigelow of Tufts earned NESCAC Swimming Coach of the Year honors for the first time in her career, as she guided the Jumbos to a third-place showing at this year's championship. Bates' Mike Bartley was named Diving Coach of the Year.
