HADLEY, Mass. - The NESCAC announced today the 2006-07 Women's Swimming and Diving All-Conference Team. The top three finishers in each event at the 2007 NESCAC Women's Swimming and Diving Championship receive All-Conference recognition.

Amherst junior Brittany Sasser (Belmont, Mass.) came away with Swimmer of the Meet honors for the first time in her career. Sasser, who holds the top times in the nation for the 100 and 200-yard backstroke, broke the championship records that she already held for the 100 and 200-yard backstroke during the 2007 NESCAC Women's Swimming and Diving Championship over the weekend. Sasser also placed first in the 200-yard Individual Medley and was part of four first-place relay teams for the Jeffs, the 400 and 800-yard freestyle relay, and the 200 and 400-yard Medley Relay. Senior teammate Piper Pettersen (Kirkland, Wash.) was named Four-Year High Point Swimmer for her performance over her career. Tufts junior Kendall Swett (Akron, Ohio) earned Diver of the Meet after winning both the 1 and 3-Meter Dives. Swett set a new meet record in the 1-Meter and came within six-tenths of a point of tying the 3-Meter record of 482.85. Wesleyan senior Susanna Morrison (Albuquerque, N.M.) was named the Four-Year High Point Diver.

Connecticut College head coach Marc Benvenuti joined Williams head coach Steven Kuster in sharing Swimming Coach of the Year honors. Benvenuti earned the honor for the second year in a row, while Kuster receives the honor for the first time since 2004. Tufts diving coach Brad Snodgrass was named Diving Coach of the Year.
