Women's Swimming & Diving All-Conference Released

HADLEY, Mass. - The New England Small College Athletic Conference announced today the 2005-06 Women's Swimming and Diving All-Conference Team. The top three finishers in each event at the 2006 NESCAC Women's Swimming and Diving Championship receive All-Conference recognition.

Williams senior Lindsay Payne (Charlotte, N.C.) earned Swimmer of the Meet this year for the third time in her career (2003, 2005), helping her squad to its sixth consecutive NESCAC crown with three individual titles along with anchoring the Ephs in four relay events. Payne set a championship record in the 50- yard freestyle and broke a national record in the 100-yard breaststroke. Payne was also named Four-Year High Point Swimmer for her performance over her career. Bowdoin senior Victoria Tudor (Chicago, Ill.) came away with both Diver of the Meet and Four-Year High Point Diver, finishing the weekend with a second place showing in the 1-meter diving competition and first in the 3-meter event.

Connecticut College head coach Marc Benvenuti was named Swimming Coach of the Year, while Bowdoin diving coach Harvey Wheeler was named Diving Coach of the Year.
