NESCAC Baseball Player of the Week
Timothy Domizio – Trinity – So. – SS – Fairfield, Conn.
Domizio led Trinty to a 3-1 week, which included a 12-11 win over Endicott and a NESCAC Quarterfinal series win over Wesleyan. Domizio finished the week, batting .500 and slugging 1.188 with eight hits, eight runs scored, 11 RBI, a pair of doubles, and three homers as he helped power the Bantams to their second straight NESCAC Championship Weekend appearance. Against Endicott, Domizio went 4-for-5 with five RBI and three runs scored. With the Bantams trailing 10-7 after seven innings, Domizio’s three-run homer in the top of the eighth proved to be enough to lead Trinity past the Gulls. In a NESCAC Quarterfinal series win Domizio posted a 1.326 OPS with six runs batted in, five runs scored and two home runs. In a 12-2 win over the Cardinals in the series opener, Domizio scored on a wild pitch and then belted a two-run go-ahead home run as part of a four-run sixth inning. Domizio struck again in Game 3, driving in four runs on two hits, including a home run, with three runs scored as Trinity advanced with a 12-2 victory.

NESCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Saahi Jetti – Amherst – Fy. – Des Moines, Iowa
In a must-win, season-over-if-you-lose type game, Jetti delivered a masterpiece, throwing a nine-inning no-hitter in a 3-0 win over Colby in Game 2 of the NESCAC Quarterfinals to force a third and deciding game that Amherst ultimately won. Jetti walked only three hitters while striking out eight. It was the first complete-game shutout of his career as he improved to 8-1. Jetti leads the NESCAC in wins (8), ERA (2.12), strikeouts (65), complete games (5), and innings pitched (63.2). 

NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Senior Tyler McCord (Langorne, Pa.) batted .313 in a 2-2 week for the Mammoths. McCord provided a key RBI in a win over Colby and was also a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts. 

Colby – Tony Silva (Cranford, R.I.) collected three hits in Colby's NESCAC Quarterfinal win over Amherst in the opening game of the series. Down 2-1 in the seventh, the senior doubled in the tying run. After opening the 10th inning with his second double of the game, Silva scored the winning run two batters later … Kyle Bourque (Smithfield, R.I.) earned the win in the NESCAC Quarterfinal series opener against Amherst. The senior threw five scoreless innings in relief, scattering three hits to help Colby take the victory in extra innings.

Hamilton – Junior Ethan Righter (Fairfield, Conn.) went 4-for-6 with three runs batted in, two runs scored, and three walks in two NESCAC Quarterfinal series games at Tufts. Righter also smacked his fourth double this season … Senior TJ Takis (McLean, Va.) appeared in both NESCAC Quarterfinal series games at Tufts and combined to pitch 1.2 scoreless innings with one strikeout. Takis didn't allow a baserunner.

MiddleburySam Gersch (Tiburon, Calif.) was a catalyst for the Panthers in their 2-1 series victory over Bowdoin in the NESCAC Quarterfinals. The rookie posted a .571 batting average (8-14) with six runs scored and five stolen bases. In Middlebury’s marathon 16-10 win in Game 3, Gersch tied for the team lead in hits (3) and runs scored (3). The Panther was also a perfect 4-for-4 in putouts and had a key assist from right field in the top of the seventh frame of Friday’s 14-11 walk-off victory that kept the deficit at two. Gersch is two hits away from 50 and leads the team with 20 walks … Rookie Alex Faust (Short Hills, N.J.) allowed five hits and struck out five over six innings of work to lead the Panthers to a series-clinching 16-10 victory over Bowdoin in Game 3 of a NESCAC Quarterfinals series. It was the seventh time that Faust has allowed five hits or fewer this season.

Trinity – Joe Capano was vital on the hill for the Bantams to secure the victory in their series opener against  Wesleyan. The senior tossed a complete game, allowing three runs, two earned, on three hits with a career-high seven strikeouts. Capano held the Cardinals without a base runner for 11 straight batters, and hitless across six innings.

Tufts – Malcolm Whitfield (Dedham, Mass.) went 5-for-12 (.417) at the plate as the Jumbos went undefeated last week in games against WPI and Hamilton. In an 8-7 win over WPI, Whitfield was 1-for-5 with an RBI. In the NESCAC Quarterfinal series win over Hamilton, the senior batted .571 with three stolen bases, three walks, three runs scored, and two RBI to help Tufts advance … Derek Desmarais (Washington, D.C.) made three relief appearances to help the Jumbos capture a 3-0 record on the week. In an 11-inning 8-7 win over WPI, the sophomore allowed no runs on no hits with one strikeout in two complete innings of work. In Game 1 of the NESCAC Quarterfinal series versus Hamilton, Desmarais earned his third win of the season by delivering two complete innings with three strikeouts and no hits or runs allowed to help the Tufts take a 7-6 win. In Game 2, Desmarais came in for the final frame and threw another hitless and scoreless inning to lead Tufts to the Championship Weekend.  

Williams – Senior Dave Mosrie (Weddington, N.C.) went 2-for-4 batting, with four runs, two RBI, and one double, in a 14-1 win at MCLA on Wednesday ... Sophomore Lucas Brandt (Cleveland, Ohio) worked the first five innings and only giving up one run and one walk, while striking out six, in the win over the Trailblazers.
