The 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-America teams were unveiled during the Opening Ceremony of the NCAA Division III College World Series in Eastlake, Ohio. This year’s All-America selections include Middlebury's Henry Ayers and Tufts' Cole Donato.
The ABCA/Rawlings All-America teams are selected by members of the ABCA All-America committees, with only ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team selections eligible for All-America honors.
Ayers, the NESCAC Rookie of the Year, is the sixth national honoree in program history and the first rookie to accomplish the feat in the 21st century. He posted a .476 batting average during his initial campaign, leading the NESCAC and ranking second in Division III. Ayers struck out just five times across 145 at-bats in 2026, good for the 10th-best clip nationally (once every 29 opportunities). The rookie also led the conference in hits (69), slugging percentage (.676), and on-base plus slugging (OPS - 1.182). His 69 base knocks reset the single-season school record.
Donato was the NESCAC and ABCA Region 1 Pitcher of the Year. The senior was the ace for the Jumbos this season, leading the NESCAC and Tufts with nine wins. Donato ranked third in the NESCAC with a 2.40 ERA in 12 appearances. The Walpole. Mass. native, who was the NESCAC Pitcher of the Year, led all Jumbo starters with a 1.16 WHIP and ranked second on the squad with 61 strikeouts compared to 20 walks. Donato helped Tufts win the NESCAC title for the eighth time and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Paul Hesse of the University of Mount Union serves as Chair of the ABCA NCAA Division III All-America & Coach of the Year Committee. Committee members also include Brian Casey (U.S. Coast Guard Academy), Pete Egbert (Misericordia University), Dan Gomez (Western New England University), Ray Hedrick (Randolph-Macon College), Luke Johnson (North Park University), Scott Laverty (Chapman University), Yogi Lutz (Alvernia University), Nick Pontari (SUNY Brockport), and Kevin Tomasiewicz (University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh).
Ayers and Donato become the 52nd and 53rd ABCA All-Americans in NESCAC history and their selection marks the third consecutive year NESCAC players have been honored.
