MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Bowdoin and Tufts will play for the 2026 NESCAC Men's Tennis title on Sunday, May 3 at Wesleyan's John Wood Courts. The championship match is scheduled for 11 a.m.
Saturday's semifinal matches were played indoors at Magic Lancer Tennis Club in Manchester, Connecticut, due to inclement weather.
Bowdoin is in the championship match for the fourth consecutive season. The Polar Bears were the Runners-Up in 2023 and 2025 and won their fourth conference title in 2024.
Tufts is making its fourth appearance in the NESCAC title match, all since the 2021 season, in the tournament's current format. The Jumbos won the NESCAC title in 1984, 1986, and 1989 before the NESCAC became a formal playing conference.
Tufts and Bowdoin meet for just the third time in NESCAC Tournament history but in the championship match for the second time in three years. Bowdoin improved to 2-0 versus the Jumbos with a 5-3 win in the 2024 championship match. Tufts dispatched the Polar Bears, 7-0, on April 4 this season.

No. 1 Tufts def. No. 5 Amherst, 4-1
Tufts (21-2) earned the doubles point against the Mammoths. In singles, Amherst tied the match at 1-1 when Andreas Sillaste defeated Javier Gonzalez, 6-2, 6-4, on the No. 1 court. The Jumbos regained the lead on the No. 2 court. Alex Ganchev posted his 14th consecutive win, 6-4, 6-1, to push Tufts ahead, 2-1. Mehta Kaetan contributed the third point with his 10th straight win (6-4, 2-6, 6-0), and Garv Bahl clinched the match with a 6-4, 7-6 win at No. 4 singles.
No. 2 Bowdoin def. No. 3 Middlebury, 4-2
Bowdoin (17-3) trailed Middlebury, 2-0, after doubles and the first singles match was complete. Cameron Zia won at No. 4 singles to get Bowdoin on the board. Mark Kneiss was the next Polar Bear to complete a match, earning a win at No. 1 to even the match at 2-2. Bowdoin took a 3-2 lead following Kiran Garapti's triumph on the No. 2 singles court. At No. 5, Simon Catanzaro provided the clinching point with a three-set win.
