HADLEY, Mass. - The NESCAC announced its 2026 Women's Rowing Awards. The 10-member squads are comprised of individuals from the league's eight teams and are based on each team's finish at the NESCAC Championship held on May 10 at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass.
Bates, the NESCAC Champion for the eighth time in program history, placed four individuals on the All-NESCAC First Team. Leah Brody (coxswain), Quinn Gleason, Isabelle Martin, and Olivia Smith all received recognition.
Tufts, the NESCAC Runner-Up, was represented by Sydney Barr, Sami Haynes, and Aubyn Mackey. Ellie Davis and Carolyn Fortin of Williams and Trinity’s Kaitlyn Mackin rounded out the First Team selections.
Bates head coach Peter Steenstra was voted NESCAC Women's Rowing Coach of the Year by his peers for the second consecutive season. Steenstra earns the honor for the ninth time in his career after leading Bates to its first conference title since 2022. Bates also earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Championship.
