HARTFORD, Conn. - The Tufts Jumbos took home the NESCAC trophy for the eighth time in program history with a 16-8 win over Amherst in a meeting between the top seed in the East Division versus the top seed from the West Division.

James Henshon went 3-for-3 with four RBI and a six-run eighth inning blew the game open as Tufts defeated Amherst 16-8.
Tufts led throughout, but Amherst kept pace, pulling within 9-7 in the fifth on Hudson Fulcher-Melendy's two-run double and Tyler McCord's RBI walk. But the Jumbos answered with a six-run eighth. Henshon's two-run triple and Jack Kamin's sacrifice fly capped the barrage, chasing reliever Matt Tabet.
Henshon was the offensive catalyst all afternoon, reaching base six times in five plate appearances and scoring four runs. Jack Kamin added four RBI, and Owen McKiernan drove in two. Cole Donato, who improved to 9-1, earned the win in relief by pitching 2.2 sharp innings.
Walker Dellinger fell to 2-2 for Amherst, allowing four runs in one inning. Fulcher-Melendy went 2-for-5 with three RBI to pace the Mammoths' 13-hit effort.

Tyler McCord's two-run triple ignited a seven-run ninth inning and Matt Tabet worked two innings of steady relief as Amherst rallied from a three-run deficit to stun Trinity 13-10 and bounce the Bantams from the tournament.
Amherst trailed 9-6 heading into the ninth against closer Tyler Fahey, who fell to 5-1. McCord's triple opened the floodgates, and the Mammoths sent 10 batters to the plate, pounding out eight hits in the inning. Justin Orridge, Zander Carnahan, Jackson Boyer, and Carson Ames all drove in runs during the decisive frame.
Trinity had battled back from a 6-2 deficit with three runs in the fifth and three more in the eighth, highlighted by Tyler Bernstein's two-run double and Dylan Schnitzer's RBI single. But the Bantams couldn't hold the lead.
Orridge finished 2-for-3 with four RBI to lead Amherst. Bernstein went 4-for-6 with two RBI for Trinity, and Cole Mascolo added three hits. Tabet, who improved to 2-4, retired six of the final seven batters he faced to close it out.

Tom Pender homered and drove in four runs, James Henshon tripled home two more and Tufts rolled past Trinity 15-6 in a game that was halted in the bottom of the seventh inning on Saturday night and resumed on Sunday morning.
Emmet Christian, who improved to 7-1, struck out nine over six innings to earn the win, allowing five earned runs. Tufts broke the game open with a five-run fourth inning, capped by Henshon's two-run triple and Jack Kamin's sacrifice fly, extending the lead to 8-1. The Jumbos added three more in the sixth and two in the seventh to put the game out of reach.
Pender went 4-for-5 and Tate Bannish added three hits and two RBI to pace the Jumbos' 16-hit attack. Henshon reached base four times and scored three runs.
Trinity showed life in the sixth, scoring four runs on Tyler Bernstein's two-run single and Cole Mascolo's two-run single, but could not overcome the deficit. Bernstein finished with a home run and three RBI. Drew McGowan fell to 4-6, allowing eight runs in 3.2 innings.
