NESCAC Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week
Ben Burns – Wesleyan – Sr. – A – Suffern, N.Y.  
Burns returned to the lineup and totaled nine goals and one assist for 10 points in two home wins for Wesleyan last week. The senior started with a five-goal game, adding one assist for six points in a 16-4 win over Amherst. It was the largest Cardinal win over the Mammoths in the series history (69 all-time games). Burns added a four-goal outburst against Middlebury as the Cardinals led wire-to-wire in a 14-6 victory on Saturday. 

NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – In his first start of the season and third game of the year, sophomore Ben Wick (Redding, Conn.) had a career-high eight points on four goals and four assists, in a come-from-behind, 11-10, win over Colby last week. Wick scored three times in the third quarter, the third goal giving Amherst an 8-7 lead after trailing at halftime 7-4. 

Bates – Riley McClure (Georgetown, Mass.) started the week with two goals, one assist, and two ground balls against No. 2 Bowdoin. Then at Hamilton, the junior tallied a career-high eight points (5G, 3A) in a 17-13 Bobcats win. McClure also recorded a ground ball and caused a turnover. He leads Bates with 38 points on the season.

Bowdoin – Sophomore goaltender Alec Delgado (New Vernon, N.J.) made a season-high 15 saves, securing a 9-8 win over Trinity on Saturday. That followed a midweek performance against Bates, where he posted 14 saves in another Bowdoin win.

Colby – Will Heisler (Westport, Conn.) not only secured his fifth double-digit save performance of the season (14), but the senior goaltender also tallied his first goal as the Mules fought to stay neck in neck on the road at No. 16 Amherst.  After coming up with a save late in the second quarter, Heisler recognized the Mammoth goalie out of position and launched the ball 70+ yards for an emphatic score. 

Conn. College – In the Camels’ comeback win over Trinity, senior Liam Horkan (Malden, Mass.) recorded five goals and an assist after halftime as Conn. College erased a nine-goal deficit and posted a 16-15 overtime win. After supplying a pair of scores and an assist in the final 3:14 of regulation, Horkan netted the game-winning goal just 1:48 into the extra frame to give the Camels their first NESCAC win of the season. Later in the week, Horkan also added a goal in a loss to No. 1 Tufts. 

Hamilton – Carson Kraus (Garden City, N.Y.) set career highs with seven goals and seven points and scooped up a ground ball in a 17-13 setback against Bates. Kraus scored three goals and caused two turnovers in an 8-7 victory against Middlebury. The sophomore's third goal tied the score at 7-7 with 7:04 left in the fourth quarter.

MiddleburyGed Gengras (Hartford, Conn.) logged five points over two conference matchups. The midfielder opened the week with his first career hat trick in an 8-7 loss to Hamilton. Gengras added a tally and a helper in a 14-6 setback at No. 10 Wesleyan. Both performances were the juniors' second and third games with two or more points this season.

Tufts – Junior Chase Beyer (Park City, Utah) totaled 13 points in a pair of wins over Williams and Connecticut College, as Tufts extended its win streak to 38 games. For the week, Beyer tallied nine goals and dished out four helpers, adding five ground balls. Wednesday in a midweek win at Williams, Beyer finished with five scores and two helpers in a 26-12 win, and added four goals and two assists in a win Saturday over the Camels. For the season, Beyer has 25 goals and 14 assists, as his 39 points are third on the Jumbo team.

Williams – Senior Will Doran (Princeton, N.J.) tallied four goals and two assists against No. 1 Tufts on Wednesday for No. 20-ranked Williams.
