NESCAC Baseball Player of the Week
Tate Bannish – Tufts – Fy. – OF – Wellesley, Mass.
Bannish batted .533 with a double, triple, home run, and two stolen bases across four appearances last week against Rhode Island College and NESCAC foe Colby to lead the Jumbos to a 3-1 record. The first-year plated five runs and drove in five runs while going 8-for-15 at the dish. In a 15-7 victory over the Mules in Game 2 of a Saturday doubleheader, Bannish was 5-for-6 at the plate with a home run, a triple, and three runs scored.
NESCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Nick Fassert – Amherst – So. – Katonah, N.Y.
Fassert threw 6.1 innings of no-hit ball versus Middlebury and left after eight innings with a 3-1 lead. The sophomore allowed only two hits and walked one while striking out 11 batters over those eight innings, ultimately getting a no-decision.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst –
Zander Carnahan (Fishers, Ind.) batted .438 (7-16) in a 3-1 week for the Mammoths, who won a NESCAC West series over Middlebury and defeated Springfield. The rookie posted a .412 on-base percentage and slugged .688 for the week, which included one double and one home run. The outfielder recorded eight RBI in four games and scored three runs. In a 6-3 win over Middlebury, Carnahan was 2-for-3 with four RBI. In a 9-1 win over the Panthers, he was 2-for-5 with two RBI and a home run.
Bates – Jack Margiloff (Rye, N.Y.) hit .500, posted an on-base percentage of .600, and slugged .786 last week to help the Bobcats go 4-0, including a three-game sweep of rival Bowdoin. The senior homered and scored six runs against the University of Maine at Farmington and drove in four runs in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Polar Bears. Margiloff tied the Maine-Farmington game at 1-1 with his solo home run in the first inning and delivered the go-ahead RBI single against Bowdoin in the fifth inning of Game 1, one of just two hits in the contest for the victorious Bobcats. Margiloff's RBI single in the third inning of Game 2 also put the Bobcats ahead for good … Making only his second collegiate start,
Charlie Bushley (Cohasset, Mass.) tossed a complete game in Game 1 of the doubleheader with Bowdoin, a 2-1 win for the Bobcats. The sophomore allowed just one run, and it was unearned. Bushley struck out three batters while holding the Polar Bears to three hits.

Will Cooke (Wenham, Mass.) went 2-for-3 with two RBI against Bates on Friday.
Colby –
Myles Oo (Newton, Mass.) collected two hits in each of Colby's wins last week. The junior led the Mules with six runs scored over four games, batting .455 with four RBI … In Friday's 1-0 victory on the road at Tufts, senior
Thomas Rioux (Derry, N.H.) hurled 7.1 innings, scattering four hits before turning the game over to the bullpen with the Mules in front. Rioux never allowed more than one baserunner in any inning, going three up and three down in the first and seventh.
Hamilton –
Gianni DiCerbo (Altamont, N.Y.) hit .400 (4-for-10) in a three-game series with Wesleyan. DiCerbo went 3-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI, and a run scored in a 7-4 setback in Game 1 on Saturday. The three hits tied a season high. The junior singled, drove in a run, and scored another in an 8-5 win against Wesleyan on Friday. DiCerbo handled seven chances without an error in the outfield …
Mantas Kempinas (New York, N.Y.) didn't allow an earned run in three relief appearances covering 3.1 innings for the Continentals. Kempinas allowed one unearned run in 1.2 innings of a 6-4 setback at SUNY Oneonta, pitched a scoreless seventh inning in an 8-5 win against Wesleyan, and retired both batters faced in a 15-4 loss against the Cardinals. The sophomore hasn't allowed an earned run in the last 14.2 innings.
Middlebury – Sophomore
Brian Olson (Sherborn, Mass.) came up clutch at the plate to help the Panthers to a 2-2 mark last week. In a 16-6 victory in seven innings over VTSU-Lyndon, the sophomore scored three times and blasted a three-run homer in the sixth frame to help seal the win. Against Amherst in a 3-3 game in the bottom of the ninth, Olson pushed a single through the middle that capped a three-run rally to lift Middlebury to a 4-3 victory … Entering the game in the top of the seventh facing a 3-0 deficit in Game 1 against Amherst,
Christian Zebrowski (Verona, N.J.) quelled the Mammoth offense. The sophomore logged three innings of no-hit baseball and struck out four to help push the Panthers to a 4-3 come-from-behind triumph in the series opener. Zebrowski’s victory was his team-leading fourth of the campaign.
Trinity – Senior
Andrew Park (Flushing, N.Y.) helped slug the Bantams to a 3-1 record last week, including a three-game sweep of Williams (non-divisional play), posting a .411 batting average (7-17) with 10 runs batted in, six runs scored, and a stolen base. Park went 2-for-5 with two runs batted in, a home run, and a run scored in a slugfest with Babson. In the three-game set against the Ephs, the senior clubbed eight RBI on five hits, including a home run, with five runs scored and a stolen base … Junior
Drew McGowan (Burlington, Mass.) claimed his third victory of the season, scattering two runs on four hits with four strikeouts in six innings of work in a 9-2 win against Williams.
Tufts –
Derek Desmarais (Washington, D.C.) made two relief appearances against Rhode Island College and Colby. The sophomore registered his fourth and fifth saves of the season in three full innings of action. Desmarais struck out two batters and allowed no runs, no hits, and no walks in the nine batters he faced across the two appearances.
Wesleyan – William Moore (Atlanta, Ga.) recorded multi-hit games in all four contests for Wesleyan last week. The senior hit .600 (9-15) with seven RBI, two doubles, and four runs scored as the Cardinals took 2-of-3 from Hamilton. Moore started the week reaching base in all three plate appearances, going 2-for-2 with one walk and one RBI, against Eastern Connecticut State. The infielder started the Hamilton series, going 2-for-5 with one RBI, then exploded for five hits in eight at-bats, totaling five RBI with three runs scored and two doubles in Saturday's doubleheader sweep. Moore went 3-for-4 with one double, one RBI, and one run in Game 1 before going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one double, and two runs in Game 2 … Sophomore
Shamus Kelly (Waltham, Mass.) tossed his second complete game of the season, throwing seven innings with three earned runs allowed and a career-high seven strikeouts as the Cardinals defeated Hamilton 7-4 in Game 1 of a Saturday doubleheader.
Williams –
Ryan Nakajima (Bothell, Wash.) went 3-for-4 batting, with two RBI and two runs, at Bard on Wednesday. The junior finished 2-for-3, with two RBIs, one homer, and one run scored at RPI on Tuesday … Senior
Issey Gestel (New York, N.Y.) threw 4.1 innings of relief against Bard on Wednesday, as he struck out five batters, gave up no runs, and only two hits.
