NESCAC Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week
Hudson Greene – Bowdoin – So. – A – Arlington, Va.
Greene pitched in six goals and four assists last week for the unbeaten Polar Bears and extended his hot stretch of play, scoring 10 goals and six assists in Bowdoin's last three contests. Greene tied for a team-high four goals in the Polar Bears’ midweek win at Tufts, breaking the Jumbos’ 42-game winning streak. The attack added two goals and four assists in the NESCAC Quarterfinal win over Williams. Bowdoin will host the remaining rounds of the NESCAC Tournament on May 2-3.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Willie Doyle (Summitt, N.J.) scored four goals last week in a 1-1 week for the Mammoths. In a 15-7 win over Trinity, the sophomore scored twice and added two more in a NESCAC Quarterfinal loss to Bates.
Bates – Senior
Connor Hartman (Hingham, Mass.) scored a game-high four goals and recorded three ground balls as fifth-seeded Bates upended fourth-seeded Amherst 12-7 in the NESCAC Quarterfinals. It's the first win for the Bobcats at Amherst this century. Hartman is the second-leading scorer on a Bates team that has matched the second-highest win total in a season in program history and is headed to the NESCAC Semifinals for the first time since 2017.
Conn. College – Andrew Rainville (Watertown, Conn.) netted four goals in Conn. College’s season finale at Wesleyan. The sophomore helped spur a second-half comeback that saw the Camels score six straight goals and erase a 7-2 halftime deficit.
Hamilton –
Thomas Healy (Pittsburgh, Pa.) scored three goals and caused a turnover in a 10-9 win at No. 3-seed Wesleyan in a NESCAC Quarterfinal. Healy's goal with 15 seconds left in the fourth quarter was the game-winner. The junior gave the No. 6-seeded Continentals a 6-4 lead on goals with five seconds remaining in the first quarter and 53 seconds into the second quarter, and Hamilton didn't trail again. The win was the first for the Continentals against the Cardinals in 17 meetings. Healy has 15 points in the last three games.
Middlebury – Senior
Hayden Kern (Westlake Hills, Texas) logged 36 saves over two contests. The Panther stopped 17 shots in the team’s regular season finale against Williams before tying his career best (19) versus No. 1-ranked Tufts in the NESCAC Quarterfinals. Kern has 10 games with double-digit saves this season.
Tufts – Long-stick middie
Davis Owens (McLean, Va.) picked up six ground balls, caused four turnovers, and scored a hat trick in a 21-11 win over Middlebury in the NESCAC Quarterfinals. The sophomore started the week with three caused turnovers and two grounders against Bowdoin on Wednesday, and had four ground balls, three goals, and a caused turnover on Saturday to push Tufts into the NESCAC Semifinals.
Williams –
Will Doran (Princeton, N.J.) scored four goals with one assist, including two fourth-quarter goals, in an 8-7 win at No. 15-ranked Middlebury on Wednesday, as the Ephs clinched the eighth seed in the NESCAC Tournament. The senior tallied an assist in the NESCAC Quarterfinal game at top-seeded and No. 2-ranked Bowdoin.
