Williams Set to Host 2026 NESCAC Women’s Golf Championship

HADLEY, Mass. – Williams is set to host the 2026 NESCAC Women's Golf Championship from May 1-3 at Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Massachusetts. This year's championship marks the second year the championship will be a 54-hole, three-day event with all eight teams that sponsor women's golf competing for the conference title.

he Middlebury Panthers overcame a 10-stroke deficit after the first day of the 2025 NESCAC Women’s Golf Championship to post a five-stroke victory and claim the NESCAC Women's Golf title for the first time in program history at Yahnundasis Golf Club. The 2025 championship marked the first 54-hole event in NESCAC Womens' Golf Tournament history.

The Panthers stood third and 10 strokes off the lead after their first 18 holes and despite a marked improvement in round two, Middlebury maintained third place, but was just two strokes off the lead entering the third round as four strokes separated the top four teams. In the final round, three Panthers finished in the top 10 on the individual leaderboard. Audrey Tir led the way with a final total of 227 (77-73-77) to place third overall. Tir had the low round of the day in the second round with a even-par 73. She added matching cards of 77 in the first and third rounds. Teammate Ella Han was consistent all weekend with rounds of 76-76-79 (231) to finish sixth overall and fellow Panther Morgan Lee steadily improved each round (80-78-77-235) to finish 10th.

Bowdoin finished as the NESCAC Runners-Up for the first time in program history. The Polar Bears combined for a team score of 941 (319-305-317). Emily Renoff and Katie Ng finished 4-5 among the individual golfers. Renoff began the tournament wiht a +1 round of 74 and added a 75 and 79 to her scorecard to finish fourth. Ng shot an 80 in the first round and then fired back-to-back round of 75 to place fifth overall.

Host Hamilton finished third with a score of 946 (314-312-320) and Williams (306-317-325-948) rounded out the top four teams.

Williams golfer Euna Lee became the sixth Eph to earn medalist honors. Lee led the championship wire-to-wire over the three rounds, recording an 2-under 71 to start the tournament and then shooting a 76 and 78 to finish at +6 (225). Wesleyan's Mia Holbrook registered the best finish by a Cardinal golfer in championship history as the runner-up. Holbrook opened the tournament with a 79, then shaved five strokes off in round two (74) and finished the tournament with an even-par round of 73. The Wesleyan trio of Amanda Phillips, Holbrook and Kayla Howell had the three best scores of the third round. Phillips was the only golfer under par with a 71 whiel Holbrook was even-par(73), and Howell finished +1 with a 74.

NESCAC Championship History
Amherst, Middlebury, and Williams are the only women's golf programs to win a NESCAC title. The Ephs have captured a league best six titles since women's golf became a conference-sponsored sport beginning with the 2015-16 academic year. Amherst won back-to-back titles and the first two titles in program history in 2022 and 2023 and Middlebury claimed its first NESCAC title in program history last season.
