CLINTON, N.Y. - Jackson Krock scored 2:44 into overtime to give No. 6 Hamilton a 2-1 victory over No. 12 Norwich in an NCAA Division III Quarterfinal at Sage Rink.
Krock collected a feed from Luke Tchor and buried the sudden-death winner, advancing the Continentals (21-5-2) to the Frozen Four for the first time in program history.
Hamilton controlled play for much of the game, outshooting Norwich 43-22, but Cadets goaltender Sami Molu kept his team in it with 41 saves in a losing effort. Max Bulawka opened the scoring at 5:50 of the second period, finishing off assists from Ben Zimmerman and Curtiss Sturgeon to give Hamilton a 1-0 lead.
Norwich (19-6-4) pulled even at 9:49 of the third when Boyd Stahlbaum scored an unassisted goal, capitalizing on a loose puck to beat Aksel Reid and force overtime. The Cadets managed just three shots on goal in the third period but made one of them count.
Reid made 21 saves for the win, including all three shots he faced in the third. Hamilton dominated the faceoff circle, winning 42 of 70 draws, with Krock going 18-for-29. Neither team converted on the power play.
