The Hamilton Continentals scored four consecutive goals in the third period to break open a 2-2 game and power past Neumann to advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. The Williams Ephs had their season come to an end with a 3-0 loss at Utica.

Max Bulawka scored twice in a 17-second span early in the third period to break open a tie game and lift No. 6 Hamilton to a 6-2 victory over Neumann in the first round of the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. The Continentals were hosting an NCAA men's ice hockey event at Sage Rink for the first time in program history and will host a second game when they face Norwich in the quarterfinals on March 21 at 7 p.m.
Bulawka's first goal at 5:26 of the third gave the Continentals the lead for good, and he followed with a power-play tally at 5:43 to make it 4-2. Connor Thue added another just two minutes later to put the game out of reach.
Hamilton (20-5-2) trailed 1-0 after the first period before Ryan Sordillo tied it early in the second. Luke Tchor gave the Continentals their first lead with a power-play goal at 12:19, but Neumann's Jared Coccimiglio answered 43 seconds later to knot the score at 2.
Coccimiglio scored both Neumann goals.
Aksel Reid stopped 15 of 17 shots for the win. Christian Green made 26 saves on 31 shots in the loss for Neumann (17-9-2).

Kyle Curtin stopped all 28 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season, and Utica broke open a scoreless game with three goals in a span of just over three minutes in the second period to defeat Williams 3-0 in the first round of the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament.
The teams played a scoreless first period before Aidan Hughes opened the scoring at 13:58 of the second, converting a feed from Alexander Gullichsen for what proved to be the game-winning goal. Just 30 seconds later, Andrew Della Rovere doubled the lead with assists from Drake Morse and Davis Goukler.
John Gutt added a power-play goal at 17:01 of the second to cap the three-goal burst, finishing a setup from Hughes and Nick Ahern after a Williams holding-the-stick penalty.
Williams (12-14-2) outshot Utica 10-3 in the third period but could not solve Curtin, as the Ephs pressed. Harrison Fogel made 23 saves in the loss.
Utica (20-7-1) went 1-for-1 on the power play and won the faceoff battle 36-31.
