Hamilton, which finished as the top seed on the NESCAC Tournament, earned an at-large berth to the tournament and will host Neumann at 7 p.m. at Sage Rink on Saturday. The Continentals are making back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history, and it is Hamilton’s third NCAA appearance overall.
Hamilton (19-5-2), the No. 6-ranked team in the country in the latest USCHO.com Poll, advanced to the semifinals of the NESCAC Championship for the second straight year and will host an NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey game for the first time.
Neumann was an automatic qualifier for the NCAA Tournament after the Knights captured the MAC Championship with an overtime win against Stevenson. Neumann enters the tournament with a 17-8-2 record and is making its first appearance in the championship since the 2010-11 season.
Williams won its first NESCAC title in program history with a 4-2 victory over No. 4 Middlebury to grab the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Ephs were the No. 6 seed in the tournament and playing in their sixth trip to the NESCAC Championship Game.
Williams (12-13-2), which is making its first NCAA Tournament appearance since the 2015-16 season, travels to Utica for a 7 p.m. first-round contest. In 2015-16, the Ephs defeated Salem State and fell to SUNY Geneseo in the quarterfinals.
Utica is the No. 5-ranked team in the country in the USCHO.com Poll and owns a 19-7-1 record. The Pioneers captured the UCHC Championship with a pair of 4-1 wins over Nazareth University and SUNY Geneseo. Utica is making its sixth NCAA appearance in program history. The Pioneers are the pre-selected host of the semifinals and finals of the 2026 NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament.
