Gyimesi & Vetter Earn NABC All-American Honors

NESCAC standouts Henry Vetter of Trinity College and Scott Gyimesi of Tufts University were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-American Teams.

Gyimesi, the NESCAC Player of the Year and D3hoops.com Region 1 Player of the Year, was a First Team selection. The senior is also a Jostens Trophy finalist for the second straight season. Gyimesi is the first NABC All-American First Team honoree from Tufts since Chris McMahon was tabbed to the team back in 1994-95. Gyimesi is just the fourth Tufts player ever to earn a spot on the NABC All-American teams, joining Dylan Thoerner (2022-23), Luke Rogers (2019-20) and McMahon.

Gyimesi averaged 16.1 points and 9.4 rebounds per game this season while shooting 56.0 percent from the floor overall, 40 percent from three-point land, and 71.1 percent at the free throw line. Gyimesi totaled 49 career double-doubles which led active Division III players.

Gyimesi has helped lead the Jumbos to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the first time since the 2016 season, and just the second time in program history. He ranks 13th all-time in scoring at Tufts with his 1306 points, while his rebound total of 948 is the most in program history.

Vetter repeats as an NABC All-American moving up from Third Team last year to Second Team in 2025-26 and is the only two-time NABC All-American in program history. Vetter ranked third in the NESCAC in 3-point field goal percentage (.400), fourth in total assists (78), total steals (45), steals per game (1.7), seventh in assists per game (2.9), and ninth in the league in scoring, averaging 14.7 points per game.

The guard has helped the Bantams earn a No. 1 ranking throughout much of the season, win their third straight NESCAC Championship, and advance to the NCAA Division III Final Four for the third consecutive season. Trinity will play Mary Washington winner on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday on ESPN+. The other national semifinal features Emory versus Christopher Newport (5:30 p.m.). The semifinal winners advance to the national championship game set for Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana on April. 5
