NESCAC Swimming & Diving Weekly Release - Jan. 27, 2026

Every Tuesday throughout the swimming & diving season, the NESCAC Swimming & Diving Performers of the Week will be announced. 

NESCAC Men’s Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week | Weekly Release
Owen Vale – Amherst – Fy. – Avon, Conn.
Coming off a training trip, Vale had a stellar meet weekend, posting two record-setting swims and multiple lifetime bests. Against Springfield College, Vale set the NESCAC Record and Pratt Pool Record in the 100 IM with a time of 50.61. The rookie also knocked down the Pratt Pool Record in the 200 IM, setting a new personal best with a time of 1:50.18. On Saturday at the Menck Sprints, Vale set a personal best in the 100 backstroke (52.15) and posted season-best times in the 100 breaststroke (58.53) and 200 freestyle (1:43.68).

NESCAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week | Weekly Release
Lily Codd – Williams – Sr. – New Canaan, Conn.
Against MIT and NYU, Codd won the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:48.54 (currently the second fastest time in Division III), placed runner-up in the 200 butterfly at 2:04.17, and captured first place in the 400 IM with a time of 4:27.77. The following day against Hamilton and Middlebury, the senior won the 200 freestyle (1:55.09) and the 500 freestyle (5:07.33). Codd also recorded a time of 1:01.31 in the 100 IM and posted a 26.28 butterfly split on a relay.
