The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) recently announced its academic awards. A total of nine NESCAC volleyball programs were among the record-breaking 1,450 teams to maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3. Six NESCAC teams earned the additional distinction of Team Academic Honor Roll which celebrates programs in the top 20% of GPA for their division.

NESCAC teams honored were: Amherst, Bowdoin, Colby, Conn. College, Hamilton, Middlebury, Trinity, Tufts, and Williams.

In addition to meeting GPA requirements, the program's head coach must be a dues-paying member of the AVCA.
