Trinity Men's Rowing Wins IRA Division III National Championship

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – The top-ranked Trinity College Men's Rowing team had the fastest 1V8 crew in the field to claim the 2025 Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Division III National Championship at the IRA Championships. As a team, the Bantams finished second overall for the points trophy with 48 points.
 
The Bantams 1V8 secured the program's first National Championship victory with a time of 5:40.360 and also claimed the Caldwell Cup, besting points champions Tufts University by nearly two seconds (5:42.030). Bates finished third (5:45.520), followed by Williams (5:47.440), Wesleyan (5:50.870), and Colby (6:09.100).
 
The Bantams 2V8 boat finished fifth in its race, posting a time of 6:10.700. Tufts won the race and the Norm Graf Trophy with a time of 5:53.056, edging Williams (5:53.336), Colby (6:00.270), Wesleyan (6:00.710), Trinity and Ithaca (6:21.370).

With the victory, the Bantams become the fourth straight New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) school to win the Division III IRA Championship since the inception of the IRA Championship in 2022 (Williams - 2022 & 2023, Wesleyan - 2024, Trinity - 2025). The win gives the NESCAC Conference 180 National Title victories all-time across the NCAA, College Squash Association (CSA), and IRA.
