NESCAC Player of the Week
Henry Juan – Williams – Sr. – C – Big Flats, N.Y.
Juan hit .500 with a .875 slugging percentage, recorded seven RBI, and scored four runs while knocking out three doubles and one home run in a 4-0 week for the Ephs. The senior went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, one home run, one double, and one walk in a 16-5 seven-inning victory at Bard. Juan hit .467 in a series sweep of Hamilton with three RBI, two extra-base hits, and caught three runners stealing. The catcher scored the game-winning run in a 3-2 win over the Continentals in Game 1 of the series.
 
NESCAC Pitcher of the Week
Jacob Lapp – Tufts – Sr. – P – Andover, Mass.
In the series-deciding game of a doubleheader versus Amherst, Lapp pitched a one-hit, complete nine-inning game. He struck out four Mammoth batters while retiring 23 straight to end the game and lift the Jumbos to a 4-1 victory to clinch the series. The senior also recorded four putouts and an assist, setting season highs.
  
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Senior Jack Sampedro (Miami, Fla.) hit .429 over four games for the Mammoths, going 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI against RPI and again in Friday's win over Tufts. The senior also pitched two scoreless innings without allowing a hit in the victory over Tufts … Nick Fassert (Katonah, N.Y.) pitched a gem in Friday's 5-1 win over Tufts, throwing 102 pitches over seven innings, the longest outing of his rookie campaign. The righty allowed only one run while scattering five hits and walked one while striking out five.

Bates – Ben Genser (Newton, Mass.) went 8-for-12 at the plate on the week, raising his batting average to a team-leading .306 on the season. The senior went 2-for-3 with three runs scored, an RBI, a double, and a walk in a 17-0 win over the University of Maine at Farmington. Then went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base in a 4-3 win over Bowdoin on Friday. Genser kept his hot hitting going against the Polar Bears in Saturday's doubleheader, going 3-for-5 with a walk and a hit-by-pitch … Four Bates baseball pitchers combined to no-hit the University of Maine at Farmington Beavers and the Bobcats rolled to a 17-0 win Wednesday at Leahey Field. It was the first no-hitter thrown by the Bates baseball team since Mike Kinsman '05 threw a five-inning no-hitter in 2004 against the University of Maine at Presque Isle in a game that ended early due to a mercy rule. It is not known the last time Bates threw a nine-inning no-hitter, if ever. The Bobcats got masterful performances from senior Ian McAslan (Baltimore, Md), junior Max Dio (Wellfleet, Mass.), senior Christopher McGrail (Dedham, Mass.), and senior David Miller (Franklin Lakes, N.J.), with McAslan going the first five innings to earn the win. He walked two and struck out two. Dio tossed two scoreless innings, walking one and striking out two. McGrail worked a perfect eighth, striking out one. Miller sealed the no-hitter with a perfect ninth, with a strike-out looking to end the game.
 
Bowdoin – The Polar Bears won four out of five games last week, including three NESCAC wins and Lukas Tsai (Fair Lawn, N.J.) batted .467 with seven hits, five RBI, two runs scored, four walks, and five stolen bases. In non-conference play against Thomas College, Tsai went 2-for-4 with a run scored, three RBI, and two stolen bases. Despite the loss in the series opener to Bates, the junior was 2-for-3 with an RBI and extra-base hit. Tsai went 3-for-6 on Saturday and added three more stolen bases … Junior Jackson Melendy (Winthrop, Maine) pitched 6.2 strong innings for the Polar Bears in the final game of the three-game series. Melendy allowed just two hits and one run while fanning 10 Bates batters The Bobcats only had multiple base runners on the base path once during Melendy's stint on the mound. 
 
Colby – Junior Tony Silva (Cranford, N.J.) hit safely in all four contests last week, extending his hit streak to 10 games.  In Saturday's 10-inning victory over Trinity, the junior reached base safely in all six at-bats, going 3-for-3 with a two-RBI double in the first, two singles, and three walks … First-year Sam Lowenstein (Yarmouth, Maine) earned his first career win closing the door on Trinity in the series finale.  Coming on in relief in a tie game in the seventh, Lowenstein threw four hitless innings with two strikeouts and no walks, facing only one batter above the minimum.
 
Hamilton – Greg Kopp (McLean, Va.) hit .429 in four games with three runs batted in, two doubles and two walks. The senior catcher handled 22 chances in the field without an error and threw out four runners trying to steal. Kopp hit safely in every game and moved into fifth place on the team's career RBI list.

Middlebury – Kyle McCausland (Wellesley, Mass.) helped lead Middlebury to a 3-1 week, including a series sweep over Wesleyan. The Panther hit .500 at the plate and scored twice on three hits. McCausland belted a pair of homers and recorded a team-best seven RBI for the week. The senior has 177 career hits, tying him for first in Middlebury’s record book ... Sophomore Stefano Yozzo (New York, N.Y.) came in for relief with Middlebury ahead 6-4 in the sixth against Wesleyan. The Panther recorded the final out to strand a Cardinal runner and earn the save.

Trinity – Junior Joseph Capano (Scarsdale, N.Y.) logged his first career complete game, tossing seven innings of one-run ball, allowing five hits while striking out a career-high eight batters in a 5-1 victory over Colby … Joseph Capano (Scarsdale, N.Y.) logged his first career complete game, tossing seven innings of one-run ball, allowing five hits with a career-high eight strikeouts in a 5-1 victory over Colby.

Tufts – James Henshon (Wellesley, Mass.) batted .400 and slubbed .800 in three games versus Amherst to help the Jumbos take the series. The rookie went 2-for-3 in Game 1 of Sunday’s doubleheader with a triple and a double. Henshon added another pair of hits, including a double in Game 2 and played solid defense at third base, with eight assists and no errors across the doubleheader.

Williams – Sophomore Owen McHugh (Milton, Mass.) improved to 2-0 on the season, as he started and went six innings, giving up no earned runs, just four hits and tallying a career-high 12 strikeouts during a 9-1 win in Game 1 of a doubleheader at Hamilton on Sunday.
