NESCAC Player of the Week
Ryan Nakajima - Williams – So. – OF – Bothell, Wash.
Nakajima went 13-of-22 batting, with nine RBI, nine runs, and two doubles in a 4-1 week for the Ephs, which included a sweep of Wesleyan. The sophomore recorded four multi-hit games, including going 4-for-5 in the batter's box, with two doubles and one RBI, against visiting RPI on Wednesday on Bobby Coombs Field.
 
NESCAC Pitcher of the Week
Matt Higgins – Colby – Fy. – P – Norwell, Mass.
Higgins recorded two saves on the same day as Colby took the first two games of the series with Tufts. In Friday's opener, the first-year closed out a scoreless seventh inning for his seventh save of the season. Hours later, Higgins returned to the mound for the final two innings in the nightcap to earn his eighth save of the season, once again holding the Jumbos without a run. Higgins has recorded a save in his last five appearances, including four conference victories. 
  
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – In five games last week, Justin Orridge (Toronto, Ontario) batted .467 (7 for 15) with 12 RBI and 7 runs scored. The newcomer compiled an on-base percentage of .636 and slugged .733 while walking six times in five games. The left fielder had one double and a grand slam, last week. His OPS was 1.369. In a 17-4 win over Hamilton, Orridge went 2-for-3 with six RBI and three runs scored. His first-inning grand slam that gave Amherst a 4-0 lead … Yoon Chae (Virginia Beach, Va.) threw eight innings in a win over Hamilton, scattering six hits while walking three and striking out five in his longest appearance of his career. The sophomore allowed only two runs, one earned, while improving to 3-1 on the season from the mound. 

Bates – David Swift (Yarmouth, Maine) became the first Bates baseball player to hit for the cycle since 1984 when he did it against Thomas College last Tuesday in a 20-5 win for the Bobcats. The rookie drove in seven runs in the contest. Swift followed that up by going 2-for-3 with two runs scored, three RBI, and his team-leading fifth home run of the season Thursday against Trinity … Diego Sarabia (Mableton, Ga.) turned in another quality start for Bates on Friday, going six plus innings and giving up three runs on six hits, matching his career-high with eight strikeouts in a 5-4 win for the Bobcats over the Bantams.
 
Colby – Ben Croteau (Bedford, Mass.) put an exclamation point on Friday's Senior Day sweep of Tufts. Pinch-hitting in the seventh inning of Game 2 with the bases loaded and the Mules down 6-4, the senior sent a 3-2 pitch with two outs over the right field fence for the first home run of his career.
 
Hamilton – Greg Kopp (McLean, Va.) hit .500 with six RBI and two runs scored in five games. Kopp went 2-for-3 with a walk, was hit by a pitch, stole a base, and drove in three runs in a 16-11 win at Rochester. The senior tied a career high with four hits in an 8-7 setback against Amherst. Kopp became the fourth player in Hamilton baseball history with 130 career hits and is tied for third all-time with 88 RBI … Colin McMahon (Niskayuna, N.Y.) pitched the first 2.2 innings and improved to 2-1 on the season in the Continentals' 16-11 win at Rochester.

Middlebury – Aiden Han (Vienna, Va.) was a force at the plate for the Panthers in their two-game sweep of Skidmore, going 4-for-5 with four hits and team-highs in runs scored (5) and walks (5). In Middlebury’s 13-3 seven-inning win over the Thoroughbreds on Friday, Han reached base safely in all five of his plate appearances from the leadoff spot with three hits and two walks. The sophomore scored five times during the contest to tie the most in a game in program history … Stefano Yozzo (New York, N.Y.) was efficient in his lone appearance of the week on Sunday. After Middlebury tied the game at 7-7 in the seventh, Yozzo came on in relief and struck out two Thoroughbreds to keep the contest even. The sophomore returned for the ninth with a six-run cushion and battled out of a bases-loaded situation to secure his second victory of the season.

Trinity – Junior Andrew Park (Flushing, N.Y.) led the Bantams at the dish, batting .588 (10-17) with seven runs batted in and six runs scored to help Trinity post three wins. In a victory over Amherst, Park went 3-for-4 with three doubles, an RBI, a run scored, and a stolen base. In a three-game set with Bates, Park knocked out a pair of hits with two RBI and two runs scored in the opening game and delivered a career-best 5-for-5 performance with four runs batted in, two runs scored, a home run, and a stolen base in the series finale.
 
Tufts – Ben Leonard (Medfield, Mass.) was the leader at the plate for Tufts last week, posting six RBI in four games. The senior started the week by knocking in a run with a double on the road at Wheaton. Leonard picked up two more hits in Game 2 at Colby, sending the ball far over the wall for his team-leading seventh homer of the season. The outfielder ended the week with a two-hit game for three RBI in a 20-5 win at Trinity. Leonard was one of five Jumbos to post three or more RBI in the victory … Michael O'Brien’s (Houston, Texas) six innings of efficient pitching helped the Jumbos offense return to the plate quickly and kept the momentum going en route to a 20-5 win at Colby. The sophomore allowed two unearned runs off five hits and two walks with a single strikeout. It was O’Brien’s first winning decision of the season, improving to 1-1 on the year.
